A useful radio in England... don't take it on holiday!

I bought the Pure Radio in England and it has been a useful companion to my kitchen. The white colour makes it very unintrusive and the sound is good for untrained ears, although I use it for Radio 4 mostly. The authomatic station search makes it very easy and quick to switch between stations, as well as the memory programming. In general, it is much better than the standard analogic radio. However, I have found that the reception was poorer in the basement that would have been with an standard radio. The main setback has been when taking it on holiday: digital channels are not available in other countries as much as they are in England, and therefore it makes it virtually useless there, as well as making the use of preprogrammed memories completely unnecessary. However, on the whole it is a good product.
