I have had the Pure One for a year and a half now and haven't regretted the purchase at all. I had been wanting a digital radio for some time but was put off by the price of many on the market. When I saw this for 50 pounds and also from a very reputable brand in the DAB world I couldn't resist

It is a very easy radio to use. The controls are quite intuitive with the large central knob controlling the volume and the menus. The presets function is slightly frustrating at times and can be no quicker than just tuning the radio station you want. The radio has many capabilities including intellitext, the ability to upgrade via USB and an energy saving mode.

The most important thing is the sound quality. I have found this to be very good, the sound it clear and highs and lows of both music and voice can clearly be distinguished. This is a small, portable radio but it manages to produce a big sound than can fill most rooms. It would be ideal for many environments, including outdoors.

There is an optional battery pack that can be purchased that is manufactured by Pure. I haven't opted for this as I don't need to carry the radio around but, I do find it slightly annoying that you have to buy the Pure battery pack and cannot use standard off the shelf alkaline batteries like with many other radios in this range.

All in all I would recommend this radio to anyone, its perfect for nearly every situation, you can't go wrong.
