	Roberts RD 14 Sports DAB ... May 2006 with the anticipation of the 2006 FIFA World Cup building, my partner decided in order to maximise his watching and listening of every game played he would buy himself a Sports Digital Radio in order to listen to the BBC 5 Live Sports Extra channel for those times when he was unable to watch the action on telly. So we decided to purchase a Roberts RD-14 Sports DAB from Curry s for a reasonable £99.99. I say reasonable because my partner wanted to purchase the more expensive DAB at £170, but I managed to persuade him otherwise. 	Roberts R 250 CL ... bought one of these last christmas in green for my parents and they have been so impressed with it I have decided to buy one for myself As you would expect from Roberts the quality is excellent, it feels really sturdy and robust, the reception is great and sound is very good as well, it can run off batteries or the mains so its very versatile. You really get the feelng it will last a lifetime. I have found some problems in stock of the more popular colours but I have managed to find a pink one from www.wooklums.co.uk for just £94.99.... 	Roberts R 972 ... little radio - easy to use and the reception is v good. I didn't have the radio for long (see below for the reasons) but a brief description follows: 1. PLL digital tuner - nice big, clear display. 2. Autoseek tuning is quite sensitive and finds most stations. 3. Reception and sound quality is pretty good. 4. Putting stations in memory is not exactly intuitive, but once you know how, is pretty simple. BUT, and this is a big but, there is a permanent hiss in the background - even when the volume is at zero.
