... harder sound (technical term not know!). But this hard sound is easier to hear and the speech is much easier to descriminate clearly. The clarity of this compact radio is fantastic - and having used it both in and out of the house its definitely is portable and suitable for all types of listening.

Dab radio's might be the way forward. But! if you are like me and suffer with hearing loss (and no I am not that old), you might find like I do that Dab radio's smooth sound is too difficult to listen to. Yes I do have a DAB radio - but its this little portable Sony that is always with me. It has a harder sound (technical term not know!).
