Advantages: Clear LED. Loud sound. Compact.
Disadvantages: Setup is a bit tricky, as are using the buttons.
I purchased this alarm clock a few months back, looking for a cheap alarm clock to get me up in the mornings. I didn't expect much for the price (£5.97), but for what it costs, it certainly does the job well.
It doesn't score many points on the looks category - the silver buttons really don't seem to go with the black finish, and the shape makes it look out of place no matter where I place it in my room. However, it is compact, and could probably easily fit well into a more spacious room.
The LED is bright and vibrant, so you can leave it across the room to force yourself to get up in the morning, and still see the time clearly when you are awake, but not near it.
Of course, with a low budget product like this, there are inevitably going to be some cons. Setting up the radio on it is a bit tricky, and the instructional guide it comes with is no help (just 1 sheet of paper), but the default buzzer is loud enough to rouse even the deepest of sleepers.
The buttons are also somewhat a pain to use. I sometimes finding myself having to force the buttons down hard in order for them to respond.
In conclusion, for what you pay for it, it definitely does the job. However, it's certainly not the best option available on the market.
Summary: Definite purchase if you are on a budget.
