This is the first time I've felt let down with an Apple product I had purchased.
Upon receiving the package it had the same simplistic but stylish design that you get with all the Apple products a basic white plug in charge with a light above the space for the batteries. And then the batteries themselves are plain silver with the +/- at either end and 'rechargeable' down the centre.
I have an iMac with a wireless keyboard and the wireless magic mouse and purchased this because of the affordable price and the fact you had 6 batteries so I could always keep 2 at hand for when the others were running low which was definitely a bonus.
For charging the batteries they fit nicely into the charger provided and the light above them simply goes orange to let you know that the batteries are charging. If the batteries are not sitting in correctly or there is a fault the light will go red. Once the batteries are finished charging the light will simply go green.
After the hype around the batteries with claims of extra long life and holding a lot of charge I had very high hopes for the batteries but this is where I was let down. I use the computer throughout the day on a daily basis and usually would go through a pair of disposable batteries about every 2 months. The reasons I made the change for these was to save money and also because the claims of holding a high charge led me to believe I would have to change them less frequently. However I found that I was now having to change the batteries sometimes after 3-4 weeks which is an extremely short amount of time compared to the claims being made when advertising them.
I definitely expected a lot more from Apple and would maybe even consider going with a different brand to replace them for my batteries in the future.
