==DURACELL EASY BATTERY CHARGER==
Look around your house, how many gadgets do you have which use batteries. Shocking isn't it, in my house nearly every electrical gadget (except in the kitchen) including games has a remote control and these go through batteries like made. We also use batteries in other items like toys and cameras. I used to buy at least 12 AA and 12 AAA batteries every month to ensure that every gadget continues to work as expected to avoid some sad faces. This however used to cost me a fortune as I also preferred to buy good quality batteries like Duracell. I feel good for doing my bit to safeguard our planet so I used to keep the used batteries for safe disposal. Unfortunately there aren't many sites in my area for disposing used battery. For the sake of the environment I decided to buy a simple battery charger for our household use.
==Design and appearance==
Duracell Easy Battery charger is one of the many Duracell battery chargers available on the market. The charger is black with information text in gold/brown print. It has a slim design and is small and very light making it handy for holiday packing to ensure you never run out of batteries. It has a built in LED light which is made clearly visible by the gold/brown arch above the light. It has ports to charge 2 AA batteries and 2 AAA batteries but unfortunately you can only charge one set of 2 batteries at a time.
==Availability and Price==
The charger is manufactured by Duracell. It is available from most retail outlets which sell batteries and is usually located together with the batteries. It is also available from most on line shops like Amazon.com. The price ranges from £6.00 - £14.00 depending on where you buy it from and if you are a good bargain hunter and also prepared to wait for delivery. Beware some of the online prices do not include postage and packaging. As for me, at times I like buying what I can see and having the guarantee that I if not satisfied, I can take it back and get my money back without any quibbles. So, I bought mine for £10.00 from Tesco and got double Tesco club card points too. The charger comes with 2 AA Duracell rechargeable batteries all included in the price. For £10.00 for the charger + batteries, that's good enough for me.
The full charge/processing time is 6-8 hours. The charger has a built in LED light which initially is red and turns green when the batteries are fully charged. It has a built in 3 pin plug and fits nicely in any 3 pin wall socket making it neat so no extra unsightly cable. 6 - 8 hours may seem long for some but not a problem for me as I now have a collection of rechargeable batteries and always have spare charged batteries on standby.
==Easy to use==
The charger comes with instructions on the package and they are very easy to understand. The polarity markings are imprinted into the grooves for charging the batteries. Considering how important the polarity markings are to ensure you insert the batteries correctly, the visibility could have been made even better if the imprints were in another colour and not black so that they can be clearly visible. Once loaded the charger is very easy to use, all you do is plug it into the socket and switch on the plug.
==Reliability and Durability==
I have had my charger now for almost 7 months and it is still working so would say good so far. The charger fulfils the basic needs of a charger as intended by the manufacturer.
I would recommend this charger as it does the job and is good value for money.
I am feeling good, saving money and saving the environment.
Do your bit, do something good for the environment!
Thank you for reading my review, hope it was informative.
