Recently I have moved into a new flat. Being rented it has plenty of safety features within it and one of those is fire alarms throughout. As far as I understand it these are connected to my electric supply but also need batteries as well. I can't just disconnect them anyway which is a bit of pain cos of late all of the alarm batteries have been failing on me though I was told that the batteries within them had been in 8 months and they happened to be this brand.

One night, late one of the alarms decided to keep peeping. Not being familiar with alarms of any kind at the time I managed to disconnect it but like I stated earlier it was still peeping so I ran to my local shop which was Spa before it closed and the only batteries they had on sale were these ones costing £3.49 each and so I bought a couple and popped one in a cupboard as a spare!

The Packaging:

The battery comes attached to an orange and black piece of cardboard and on it we are told that it is Duracell Plus Power, 9V/MN1604 'Long Lasting Power Guaranteed' and then on the back of the packaging other information listed includes cautions being given (and in different languages too) and contact details for Duracell are listed. Simple, easy to dispose of packaging this is and its as informative enough as it needs to be.

The Battery Itself:

The battery is bronze and black in colour and we are clearly told what it is on it and its a square in shape with two little stumpy bits to connect up to things on one end on it.

This battery of course can be used in a variety of things and for a variety of purposes. Easy to connect, well it was to my fire alarm anyway and thats it job done. I have used one of these in the past as well on a toy battery operated car and it gave plenty of use in that but course it depends how often you use things eh!

Offering to be longer lasting than most other batteries of the same type, I have no idea by how much as we simply arnt told. However I find Duracell to be a brilliant brand and one I can trust and I am willing to pay a little more for quality always!
