I had to get some new rechargeable batteries recently as the old ones weren't charging up properly anymore. I like to use rechargeable where possible because of course it saves a small fortune over time. I also like to buy a brand name where possible to get a good long use out of the ones I buy. So naturally I looked at Duracell as one of the first brands I was interested in and quickly noticed these new Duracell Supremes.
I'm not quite sure how long they've been around for but I do know I've not noticed them until recently, so I think they must be quite a recent edition to the Duracell family. Being a brand name that's been established as one of the best for many years now, I'm always keen to give their new products a try and have yet to be disappointed with them.
These batteries took only a few hours to charge up which surprised me at first. I thought there must be some mistake with the charger actually because you usually have to leave rechargeable batteries over night. There was no mistake though, and I tried them in my camera just to make sure. We used the camera on a day out with the grandson for starters and must have taken about a hundred photos - and still the batteries kept going. Despite all that turning the camera on and off, which would usually result in having to change the batteries half way through the day.
I then kept using the same batteries a few days later when I took a load of photographs for something to sell on ebay. They just kept going! Eventually, a week later when I used the camera in the garden, the low battery light came on. Of course I don't know exactly how much usage I got out of these but it must have been a good five or six hours. That's pretty amazing really when you think that realistically, rechargeable batteries usually give way after one or two hours of use (overall use I mean, not counting switching the camera off in between uses of course!).
You can get these Duracell Supreme rechargeable batteries in a couple of different pack sizes. Either twin sets or quad sets and in AA or AAA too. We picked up ours up in the supermarket but I've since noticed they've got them in Argos and on Amazon too so I don't think availability is a problem. I've got to give these five stars for their superb performance and durability. I only wish I had one of those little bunnies to accurately test just how long they really can last for!
