Like most battery chargers This product has a spring loaded cover to prevent damage if anything were to go wrong in the charging process and this is operated by a small push button at the right of the cover. My only minor gripe will be that this cover is actually very flimsy and doesn't open sometimes but after a quick tap it will always spring open so has never proved an issue for me.

Okay so from having a hobby of RC cars and a lot of battery consuming gadgets around my house I have made the switch to rechargeable batteries and saved myself a lot of money. Something I would recommend to anyone, but only if you use the batteries and don't leave them lying around for hours. After investing a considerable amount in batteries I originally bought a quick charger for ease of use. This got replaced by this Energizer Universal Charger though about two years ago, for £17, as it would not charge C, D or 9V batteries which I then had need of.
