If you want light whilst charging pads buy it, otherwise stick to your charge cable

Well firstly this is a charging station for your ps3 wirelss controller. It is very small in size and plugs into the usb port on the front of your Playstation 3.
The two platsic curves on the charger light up, these can be cycled through a number of different colours or kept on one colour if you so choose. This is selected by the two buttons on the front.
Your wirless pads sits upside down on the charger as the i link port is on the top.

This is quite cool in the fact it adds some light when your charging a pad.
But i have hardly used mine since i bought it. Its easier to just plug your pad in and charge it whilst your using it. Or even use a second pad while the first charges.
It is quite a good idea to leave plugged in so you cna just put your pad on it. But leaving a usb plugged in will take some of your cpu power and heat up your ps3 quicker.

So is it really worth it, well you can buy double chargers now, so probably not. I am quite happy to just use the supplied cable and a slightly longer one to charge my pads up. Its less hassle.
So a great little device to charge pads if you want some colourful led changing action. Otherwise stick with or buy a longer usb-i-link cable to charge your pads. They are cheaper and do the same thing.
