If your a relatively hardcore gamer much like myself, you will surely find that the batteries of you xbox 360 controller don't stretch too far really! At first i didn't really notice as i got into the habit of simply buying biggish packs of batteries and simply replacing them each time, as it became more apparent to me i decided to splash out a bit and purchase one of the play and charge kits!

A 'play and charge kit' consists of two items, a rechargeable battery that slots into the back of your xbox wireless controller as well as a cable with connects from an xbox usb port to the slot on top of the controller itself, should you find that your wireless battery pack is getting low, you simply pop the cable in and the battery begins to charge again or as it states you can 'play and charge'.

Once the charge is complete the small light on the cable changes from red to green letting you know you can then unplug it and make it once more wireless! The charge doesn't take too long so your not 'attached' the to the console for long!

The other option compared to this (which i upgraded to shortly after) is the charge station, the advantage of this over the play and charge kit is that you can charge your batteries without having your console on, and you can charge two batteries at once!

You will definently find that you save yourself money as opposed to buying batteries in the long run and its much less hassle to plug a cable into your controller then to take out the battery pack, put new batteries in and attach the pack again!

Overall i would recommend this to al wireless controller users, however if you don't like being attached during play or have more then one controller, i would recommend the charging station instead!

This product currently retails for around £15 which is a good price for a good product in my opinion!
