The Nikon MH-18 is a no nonsense charger with no frills. Surprising then that it is listed at a whopping £40. My charger came bundles with my D70 but I do find it hard to justify the price tag. It is built well, held together with two allen key screws it flexes a little under stress but can take quite a know and will survive virtually any drop. The charger is specifically for the widely used Nikon EN EL3 battery which clips into the flat face of the charger from top to bottom. This is shown by a simple diagram on the dock for the battery. I am a keen amateur photographer, and when I purchase a Nikon D50 SLR camera several years ago, along with the camera body and standard lens, the package came with an EN-EL3 camera battery the MH-18 battery charger, the subject of this review. As the battery charger was included with the camera, I didn't pay for it individually, although if you were to buy it seperate, it would cost you around £40.
