A great idea that needs that has become useful on many occasions.

This is a product I have owned for about 3 years and whilst I have found it very useful for charging my phone and my ipod in that time this is a mixed review because I have also experienced that we don't really have the amount of sunshine required in this country to fully charge the battery via the solar charger (takes about 3 days of solid sunshine (no clouds at all)) and I have also experienced the battery fail although it was replaced free of charge outside of the years warranty by the manufacturer.

The unit is about the size of a small phone and the solar panel is about the size of a wallet. The battery unit attaches to the solar panel of the mains to charge and whilst the mains charges it in 3 hours roughly the solar panel takes much longer and will do about a third a day in good sunshine ion the south of England.

The unit comes with a range of connections to suit most makes of phone and one for an ipod (you can but more as the connections evolve) The battery unit has a backlit display to show its charge level and from a full charge it will fully charge any unit I have used it on.

Overall it is a great backup for any device you want to recharge on the go once and then have access to the mains again and on holiday in Italy in direct sunshine the solar panel worked well.

I would buy it again but to be honest I would just buy the battery unit as the solar charger is just for the enthusiast who is very patient.
