Trust in the name! I am seeing more and more of the Trust products crop up in stores. I think they are gradually making a name for themselves as one of the more brands on the market. Why I like them is because the the products are affordable and you do not need to stump up loads of cash to get a fairly decent little device. This recharger is ideal for people who use a lot of AA batteries.
The device is essentially a recharger, but there is a small twist because it allows you to recharge both the standard AA batteries and then the slightly more obtuse AA batteries. How many times have I gone to our TV remotes and found a dead battery or to a piece of home hifi and thought 'oh no the battery has gone again.' f you had rechargable batteries then you would not need to keep replacing the batteries all the time.
The design of this device is straight forward enough with a simple plug in action and two slots to slip the four batteries into on the front and back of the charger. The lights on the top of the recharger will light up and allow you to see when the batteries are charged. we have tested ours over several sessions and the recharge time varies from two to four hours, so the speed is pretty impressive.
The batteries slide in and out of the device with ease and once locked in stay in place. What I really like is the compact size of the unit, which means you could take it on travels with you. I am already picturing taking this abroad next season and saving money on loads of batteries in the process! Overall, at around the ten pound mark this is a neat buy and does the job well.
If you frequently use batteries, or for an MP3 player, or for a remote or whatever, it is convenient to buy rechargeable batteries with a battery charger. This is exactly what we have done at home.
The appearance of this device is not really special. The device is rectangular in shape with rounded edges. On the back is the plug. The charger is black in color and on top of the front is a sticker with information, including two red lights. One the lights will let you know that the batteries in the front are charging and the other one the batteries on the back. So both at the front and back of the charger can you charge batteries. The charger looks like a simple charger. There is nothing wrong with that, but it's not special.
In use this device is quite simple. Since it is a charger you just put the batteries in the charger and plug it in. The red lights are on when it is busy charging. When the lights are off then the batteries are charged. Both AA-('normal') and AAA (slightly smaller and narrower than AA batteries) can be charged with this charger. This will take 2 to 3 hours with the supplied batteries. In use, this device is very simple.
I am very satisfied with this charger. Sure it may not be as special and it's quite simple but it's just fine. The batteries are included or not as strong, but work and are rechargeable. For the price of around 10 pounds, this device is definitely worth the money. I give the Trust PW-2130 four stars because a good and easy to use, looks and a reasonable price!
