iCandy Apple Stroller
by xmumof2x
"Mammy's just going to the doctors, i wont be long" shouting to my 2 little terrors. I had been under the weather, a lot of symptoms but no answers then a few little checks & tests by my doc. He looks at me and asks if its possible for me to be pregnant. "NOT A CHANCE" i shouted but the test said otherwise. ... Anyhow the pregnancy news settled in and we started to prepare and purchase. Having 2 other children, i new the score and was aware of previous items i had purchased for them and what i will and will not buy for this one. I had always wanted an iCandy system for my other 2 but as its very expensive we just couldnt afford it at the time... so with baby number 3 being my last! I made sure we saved and saved for our iCandy. I new exactly which one i wanted and i wanted everything with it! There i was 7 months pregant and it was time to order our pram, it had to be the iCandy Black Magic with all the trimmings. I can genuinely say this pram was unreal, i loved it! The only pram i ever got attached too.

Alot of people commented on my black magic system, the gleaming chrome frame, expensive looking fabric and stylish designs did not go a miss. This really was a pleasure to push, the large air filled wheels made the ride smoother for my newborn. Then when he started using seat unit he always looked comfy but still loads of room to grow in. Its a very sturdy system and well designed. There is only 2 negatives about this whole pram 1 it is large so doesnt fold too small and 2 its tricky at first to fold down but you soon get the hang of it. Yes its expensive but you pay for what you get!It was such a shame when it came time to sell my iCandy, genuinely but in end it did not suit my life style.. I needed a little stroller.
This will not dissapoint you, by far one of the best made pushchairs thats built to last a long time. Read the complete review |

iCandy Apple Stroller
by KimMcGarvie
We purchased our iCander Apple Jogger just before the birth of our son - the chassis is quite heavy, however I preferred it's sturdiness to lighter models, and have since found it an advantage in use over many different terrains; It's durable and versatile.
We're just moving Baby George out of the carry cot (is it sad that this ... upsets me??) and is starting to use the seat unit. With both units I found it very easy to change, and both seem to have been/be very comfortable for George. The carry cot was very much suitable for over night and works just as well than if he were in a Moses basket. The seat unit works perfectly and easily in both forward and rear facing modes and I desperately look forward to playing around with the additional colours/flavours (hint for Christmas!).
The front wheel can at times be a bit precarious uphill, but I know from friends this isn't exclusive to iCandy. TIP: try not to overload the basket as doing so has caused it to rub against wheels - but other than minor wear and tear, I have yet to find anything to grumble about. Overall, a fantastic stroller! iCandy Cherry Stroller
by MarcusD
We wanted a *luxury* stroller that didn't come with a top-end price and so eventually settled on the Cherry. And have to say, other than the odd wear and tear we've been more than happy with ours.
The Mrs gets a lot of pleasure from using it around town and the kudos of an icandy from other mums - plus in practical use, it is ... lightweight (as most will probably say) but for what we need - a city stroller, this is ideal!
We've read of issues with the back wheels wearing quickly, but having spoken to the sales assistant at John Lewis I was informed that problems sometimes occur after "improper use" - so be careful to not put excessive weight (shopping bags) or else the bearings could split or come to wobble.
However, other than having to spray some mr sheen to keep the folding mechanism working smoothly, we've avoided any problems.
All in all, from a father's point of view, this doesn't score top marks for its durability but for practicality and value for money. Would definitely recommend! Read the complete review |
