Advantages: Faultless- super easy to use
Disadvantages: Forced to buy them to make car seat compatable
The maxi cosi car seat adapters are not an optional extra of you want to use your car seat with the oyster chasis. To be honest I found it really strange that babystyle have designed the pram in this way. You even need adapters to use the Oyster car seat!
Design - the adapters fit perfectly on to my maxi cosi car seat. I didn't find it very easy to work out which one fitted which side. If you out them on incorrectly, as I worked out, they are very tough to get off. Due to the size of them, they cause the car seat to raise slightly when you detach it from the chasis. You can remove the car seat either with the adapters attached to the car seat or left on the chassis. I found they stuck out too much when I collapsed the chasis if I left them on there. Because of this we always detach the car seat with the adapters connected. The adapters are made from a smooth black plastic with metal clips to keep the car seat safely attached to the frame.
Usage - once they are on you don't really have to do anything with them. They are easy the detach whether you choose to detach from the car seat or alternatively, the frame.
Value - I find it difficult to judge the value of this product. It is not a choice buy, it's a must have. Whilst babystyle advertise the oysters compatibility with the cabrio fix car seat, it's simply not available without the adapters. So in short, I was forced to buy them. I would have rather spent the £19 price tag on something else however they do perform perfectly and I am unable to find any flaws with the product.
Summary: Perfect product, shame about the price though.
