nice looking pram but many many faults

I have this pushchair with the silver chasis which I have reviewed in a separate review. This review is specifically for the seat unit.

I have had this pram for 19 months and I am still currently using it, just to save the expense of buying another pram, although if I had the money I would!

I feel like the seat unit leaves your baby very exposed to the weather. There's very little to the sides of it, which is brilliant and will keep your baby cooler in summer, however in winter it isn't so good as it doesn't keep your baby as snug.

The hood on this seat unit is fab, really big compared to a lot of other prams and the size can be adjusted, along with the height of it which is good for taller kids. I read of reviews complaining the hood doesn't stay back when pushed back, but I found if you tuck it behind the frame of the seat unit then it stays back fine.

The window flap is pretty useless on the back of the hood, I think it's in the wrong place and should be further forward as you cant really see much besides the back of your kids head when you look through it so I've never used it.

The seat doesn't lie completely flat, which hasn't been a problem for me, and I even used this seat unit from when my baby was a newborn even though some people say you shouldn't, my baby never had a problem and it was only for short periods. I think the carry cot is a waste of money unless your baby is born in winter and you need to keep them really snug.

I did have a problem at one point where when my son (12 months at the time) sat in it the seat would just fall back and wouldn't stay sat upright, however as I purchased this from Mothercare and it was still under warranty they sent it off to Babystyle who replaced it for me.

When the seat is in an upright position my son seems to always keep sliding down (slouching in a way) it doesn't seem to be able to keep him fully sat upright no matter how I adjust the straps which is another thing I don't particularly like.

The footmuff that comes with the pram is useless after about 18 months (depending on size of your child) as ive found it isn't long enough and when my son stretches his legs in the slightest it un-pops. The raincover is also quite useless at this age as well as that also seems to small and doesn't stretch around my sons legs onto the chasis. It has now ripped in several places through trying to stretch it.

The seat unit itself fold reasonably flat but the chasis is very bulky.

I really wouldn't recommend this pram which is a shame as it looks lovely.
