Bebe Confort Loola
Disadvantages: Too Heavy
The first thing I noticed when I took the Bebe Confort Loola out of the box was the weight of it. Just the chassis alone was extremely heavy to lift. The next thing I came across was how difficult it was to open, after I'd released the catches I still couldn't open it & had to more or less stand on the frame & put all my weight on it before it would open. The adjustable handles also felt very rickety & cheap.
Next I unpacked the seat unit, I decided to fit it in the rear facing position as my Daughter was fairly young and one of the main reasons I bought the Loola was so she could face me. The seat unit was fairly easy to fit & adjusting the position was quite easy although it was supposed to have 4 positions & I could onlly find 3!
The harness was nice & secure & my Daughter seemed quite comfy in it. The raincover was nice & thick, I also liked the fact it just zipped onto the hood.
My dislike of the Loola really started on my first trip out with it, It is wider than most pushchairs & I found it a little hard through some shop doors. Then I tried to put something in the shopping basket only to discover that it was more or less obscured by the frame of the pushchair & almost impossible to access.
My main problem with the Loola was when I tried to go up & down the pavement. The pushchair is so heavy you have to lean on the handles with all your body weight to tip the front wheels up the kerb, my Daughter was only 8 months old at the time so didn't weigh much, I dread to think how heavy it would be with a Toddler in it. I did speak to a friend who also had a Loola & she said she had also found this with the seat unit in the rear facing position so I tried it again the next day with it forward facing & it was a little better. This totally defeated the object of me buying the pushchair.
I only kept the Loola for a total of 2 weeks then I sold it on Ebay. The main reason being the weight was just far too heavy for me. I suffer with a bad back & struggled to lift it in & out of the car. One plus point to the Loola is that it is very sturdy due to the weight of it.
I would say this pushchair is ok if you walk everywhere & don't need to fold it much but I wouldn't recommend.
Summary: Far too heavy for everyday use
