      Very helpful

      A great lightweight pushchair!

When I had my first son I bought a travel system from Mothercare that simply refused to work! It went in for repairs so many times and during these times Mothercare would supply me with a loan pushchair, I had various different ones but one of these loan pushchairs was a Chicco Ponee XS, I hated the colour but loved the pushchair so much, so when I had my second son I bought a Chicco Ponee XS when he was about 5 months old.

I bought it in a khaki green colour which doesn't actually sound very nice but I loved it. It was very smart and ultra lightweight.
I bought it at a market/carboot sale where the was a pushchair stall, it was brand new with all the wrapping on the handle and footrest and I paid a bargain £35 for it. I believe at the time they were closer to £100 in price when store bought.

I wanted a pram that was lightweight as at the time the buses didn't allow prams to be wheeled on and they had to be folded, so knowing that I would have my two children with me, one walking and one not I needed a pushchair that was easy to fold and light enough to carry whilst holding a baby and chasing a 2 year old!

This pushchair ticked all the boxes. I knew from previous experience that this pushchair was lightweight and it had the one handed fold aswell as a handy little carry handle. It also had a massive shopping basket underneath which came in very useful.

So I bought the khaki green Chicco Ponee XS and took it to the car...... How on earth did it fold? I had totally forgotten!
So I traipsed back in and asked the stall holder what I was meant to be doing and it was simple. Push in the button and hold down with your thump whilst twisting the plastic bit in the middle of the foam handle, and down it went, it really does fold with one hand, and another plus, it folded very small and compact so not only did it not take up hardly any room in the boot of the car but I knew it would fit neatly in the storage bit on the buses.

Pushing this pram was a dream, it was very smooth and easy to push, as it was lightweight pushing it up hill was very easy! (I lived on a hill at the time!) The handle was also adjustable so suited me being a shorty!

I used this pram everyday from my son being 5 months old until he was about 16 months when the wheel fell off in the snow after walking from the doctors! To say I was gutted is a total understatement and I still don't understand why or how it fell off, but the middle bit of the wheel was snapped completely so it was irreparable.
But up until that point it was a fantastic pushchair.
It was suitable from 3 months, had a 5 point harness, lockable front wheels, large basket, adjustable back rest.

You can pick these up so cheap now second hand and if you are looking for a cheap second hand lightweight pushchair I would highly recommend that you look for one of these.

Although I would award this 5 dooyoo stars I have to knock off one due to the wheel problem!
