“ Brand: Pupabag / „
I have this exact puschair in a different colour. As a first time Mum I had no idea what I should be looking for in a pushchair and after trailing around the shops for hours/days/weeks we settled on this one. I did not realise that we would have to put the pushchair together ourselves (I assumed it would come ready built) Putting it together was a task as the instructions weren't very clear. However once together the pushair seemed sturdy and easy to manouvere. It was perfect once my son was born as he was able to lay flat on his back in the carry cot when we went for walks from the house. When however we drove somewhere and he had fallen asleep in the car seat we were able to just emove the car seat from the base and click it onto the pushchair. Very easy!! The basket that is underneath the pushchair collapses easily and is very large compared to those on other pushchairs. The main downside to this pushchair is that it is quite heavy and takes up alot of room. My son has always been very comfortable in this, however when he reached about 11 months we replaced this pushchair for a lighter weight one as he had outgrown the car seat and the pushchair was very heavy once he was in it as well.
i bought this travel system for £229.99 which i thought was very good value for money as it comes with a car seat, in-car autobase, footmuff, raincover and changing bag included.
The car seat seems very cosy for newborn babies, but is recommended for0-9 and of course it largely depends on the size of the infant but my son will be too large for this car seat by 6 months.Although i think the autobase is a good idea in principle, as in you can just clip the car seat in and out without worrying about seatbelts, i've found that it puts the baby at the wrong angle i:e, not lying flat.
The pram itself is excellent when walking along the flat but does feel very heavy when going uphill, and you might as well forget about trying to fit this pram in the boot of your car if you have anything smaller than an astra sized vehicle.
There is a parent tray with a lift up compartment that is very useful for putting your keys in,and a fab little tray for the child as he grows,IF you decide to keep it that long. At 5 months i am looking for a smaller pram.
What a fantastic buggy! I had a graco buggy with my son 4 years ago but this time decided to upgrade to this model, and Im really glad I did.
I actually bought mine from a store on Ebay, and it came to around £150 whick was a good start, but to top that I got a free raincover(very modern with zips/fastners ensuring ease of use), a footmuff to keep my little one warm and cozy, an apron to again ensure warmth on buggy and a free changing bag, all in matching colours.
The buggy itself is fantastic. It folds with one hand, by pressing a button on the handle and twisting at the same time, great when you have your hands full! The big wheels are free moving but can however be locked into position. There is a sturdy break on the wheels ensuring it does not roll away. There is a huge basket underneath with an easy release lever, and the buggy comes with a bar seat and base (to be left in car) which also doubles as a rocket when baby is yound. After about 6 months the baby is too big for the car seat and it should no longer be attatched to the buggy either so the baby can now sit upright or lie forward facing in the main buggy. There is a handy little trat on the front for a bottle of few toys.
All in all this is great value for money and a really great travel system.
We already had a pram/travel system (a second hand one off friends)! But we went to babies r us for an autobase for the car and came out £229.99 down! Purely because we saw this travel system and fell in love with it!
The lovely lady in babies r us showed us all the special funky little moves this travel system makes! First (and most importantly for anyone who knows what a struggle it can be putting a buggy down when getting on a bus etc) this travel system needs only one (yes one) hand to do it! It takes a quick click and twist and the travel system is down! BRILLIANT! Although I say this is handy for public transport due to the size of the buggy it is very heavy compared to other buggys so you could srtuggle lifting it onto a bus or train (unless you have friendly drivers)!
Next is the one click autobase that comes free with the system! Put it in your car once (very easy to put in with arrows on the base to show you the way!) and then you just pop the car seat into it and check the belt is tight enough and you're away! The autobase also has a stand which stands on the floor of your car adding to the security. It doesn't move at all whilst the car is in motion!
Another handy feature is the push down basket at the bottom so if you are in a rush to get something out of it and whatever you want is too big too squeeze out you can just pull a lever and the basket collapses!
Also free with your purchase is a handy pram/changing bag with a box for wipes or nappy bags and a compact (easy to fold) changing mat oh and a rain cover and a cosy toes for winter time, which looks lovely and snug! The changing bag is great and is full of little pockets to store just about everything you need for a day out with your baby! There is even an insulated side pocket, which helps keep babys bottles cold or warm (though doesn't last for more than a couple fo hours)! The bag comes in coordinating colours with pram! This bag clips easilt onto the andles of the buggy and doesn't at all get in the way of you walking and pushing the buggy!
So really everything you could want in a pram! Even the car seat (in which 3-6 month old babies can sit in) has an extra clip to clip it into the pram so it is extra safe!
The wheels at the front can be made to move loosely(for over normal tar mac) and can be tighter for easier monouvering over gravel and grass (BRILL IDEA)!
By the handle there is two drink compartments for the parent and a click down compartment in which I store my mobile phone and keys! The actual buggy has space for a childs cup as well!
<<<<RAIN RAIN GO AWAY>>>>
The pram covers are brown suede so it is a good job that the pram comes with a rain cover. this is probably one of the only qualms I have about the pram - mind you it hasn't been damaged at all so far by spits of rain!
The buggy is suitable from birth up to about the age of 4 and so far looks pretty sturdy and durable!
I would strongly recommend this travel system and so would my son (if he could speak yet)!
The Quattro Tour, complete with footmuff, changing bag, raincover and autobase, looks and feels like no other pushchair.
