      Very helpful

      an ok budget option

This was the travel system we bought with our first daughter. We were on a tight budget so this system definitely appealed because of the price as well as being quite funky and modern looking.

The system is more widely available online than in stores although some stores do stock it. We bought ours from bambino directfor £250. Its available in a few different colours and we went for it in red. The system comes with the stroller seat unit and chassis, carrycot, car seat and changing bag. For this review I will review each section of the system one by one.

      The chassis-
The chassis is made from lightweight aluminium with a full foam covered handle at the top. It also has a decent sized shopping basket underneath. The brake is on the bottom cross bar and easily presses on and off. It has two locked wheels at the back and two small swivel wheels at the front. Overtime the wheels and chassis started to bend wholst pushing the pram. The chassis needs to be a lot more sturdy than it is. The front wheels are also too small making steering difficult. Its definitely not the smoothest ride. The chassis folds easily and is quite compact when folded which makes for easy storage in the house or car.

      The carrycot-
The carrycot is probably my favourite part of the system. Its much more sturdy than the rest of the system and is a decent size. It has a good sized canopy that covers baby well from the elements and a cover that goes over the main part keeping baby all snug. The hood easily retracts down with the push of two buttons on the side. The carrycot comes with the mattress too which is nice.
It easily clicks into the chassis although you do have to use a strap, that comes with the system, to secure the carrycot.

      The carseat-
I have done an in depth review of the carseat in a seperate review but overall its an ok carseat. Its nicely padded on the sides and comes with a newborn hesd hugger, 3 point harness, aluminium handle with foam covering and a canopy.
The material is a bit flimsy on the canopy and ripped on ours but everything else held up well. The harness is easy to secure and to undo. The canopy covers baby well from rain and the sun.
The carseat can also clip onto the chassis with use of the bumper bar. Its a really good option to have if your baby is asleep you don't have to wake them to get them out. It feels nice and sturdy on the chassis too.

      The stroller seat-
This is by far the worst part of the travel system! It is an absolute nightmare to fit onto the chassis and the instructions don't help at all. It took a lot of you tubing and searching round forums to work out how it fitted properly. Once you get it on the seat is reclinable using a pull mechanism on the back and an adjustable footrest.
The stroller can be used from newborn as it lies flat but its forward facing so I never used it this way. Also the seat unit isn't that padded so I'm not sure a newborn would be that comfy in there.
The seat unit comes with a 5 point safety harness with padded shoulders and is easy to attach and undo. It also has a padded bumper bar that goes across the front of the seat.
A nice feature is the canopy that goes down the back of the seat and has a pocket on the back that is a good size for storing your phone and keys and comes in handy.

      The changing bag-
I honestly didn't use it as it was far too small to fit in what I would of needed it to carry especially with a newborn. It also wasn't really my style of bag.

Overall this travel system is a little hit and miss. There are definitely better options out there but you are probably looking at paying for it. I didn't hate it but there are definitely some rather major flaws in the design particularly with the chassis and seat unit.
