Advantages: Light, easy to fold and unfold, looks good, easy to push
Disadvantages: Doesn't recline very far, basket quite hard to access
As my son gets older, it is becoming more of a pain to take him out in his big pushchair. I have a bugaboo cameleon which is a really great pushchair, but not so handy when you have to hop on a bus or in and out of the car. You really need 3 hands!
I decided I needed a lightweight buggy too which would be easier for folding down on the bus, for popping to the shops and for travelling. I initially bought a Graco Mojo, which was a nightmare and ended up being donated to a friend for her grandson.
After much looking around and review reading I made a visit to Mothercare to test drive some lightweight buggies and I saw the Quest. I loved it because it is really lightweight, with a handy carry handle and shoulder strap, and most importantly, it was very easy to put up and take down with one hand. It has a very sturdy 5 point harness, a rain cover which takes seconds to put on and folds down very small, a recline function and an extendable leg rest for when my son gets sleepy.
To be honest, i've taken to using this buggy most of the time now! I love it because it is so light, and easy to manouvre. My son seems quite comfy in it, and it fits comfortably in the boot of my renault clio with lots of room to spare.
The downsides: The basket is quite hard to access, particularly when the seat is in recline mode. It is suitable from 3 months but to be honest I would be quite reluctant to put a 3 month old in it, as it doesn't recline far enough in my view. As it is so lightweight it would tip easily with lots of bags hung from the handles so this is something to beware of.
In summary, I think this is a great, compact and lightweight buggy for a child of 6 months and above. It is very well made and sturdy, weighs hardly anything and is very easy to push. I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone.
Summary: Perfect lightweight buggy
