Advantages: Confortable, looks cool, compact.

Disadvantages: Black and Silver is only currently sold in Mothercare, not cheap but definetaly worth it.

I recently bought the Maclaren Techno in Black and Silver having shopped around extensively.

I needed something suitable for a newborn (due August) that would be confortable for the baby and compact as I don't have much boot space. I found the Techno has performed extremely well with our toddler so far, and we have bought a Buggy-Board for the back of it for when the baby is born.

It is extremely easy to fold and can be done with one hand and one foot. It clips itself together when closed and is smaller than most buggies.

It has a rain cover included which is well fitted and not too claustrophobic for the baby. The rain canopy opens itself at the back to become a sun canopy. There is also vision panel to keep an eye on the baby.

A shopping basket is also included and is very useful as is the small pocket at the back of the canopy which is handy to put bottles, keys, mobile phone etc.

The seat is very well padded (more so than most buggy I have come accross) and the safety harness is padded and confortable. The seat lies back in 4 positions to suit newborns, and there is an adjustable footrest.

The wheels are quite chunky and have suspension which give a nice ride.

One of the best features are the ergonomic foam covered handles, which are very parent friendly - my husband like them because they are quite tall and he doesn't get back ache when pushing it unlike cheaper buggies.

It comes in a few modern colors, but looks really stylish in black and silver. All models have a very sensible fluorecent strip trim.

The only downside is that you can only currently get the black and silver model from Mothercare.

It cost me £134 - I got a £15 discount by opening a Mothercare credit account so the price compared favorably with other shops/internet shops.

Excellent value.
