One of the best strollers on the market!
Member Name: MsTricia
Advantages: Fantastically lightweight, easy to fold, compact and good value
Disadvantages: Adjustable backrest?! how does it work?!
By the time my daughter was 14 months old, she was on her 3rd puschair/stroller - this Maclaren Triumph and I haven't looked back since! It is my 3rd and final and the best investment of my money in terms of a stroller out of the 3 I have had. It is sturdy, perfectly easy to fold down and live in the boot of my car when not necessary, has ample basket space (not huge, but more than enough for me to manage with) and comes in a variety of colours (I opted for purple) so is unisex for all children.
I purchased this stroller, as after much discussion with in store reps in mothercare and john lewis they both recommended the maclaren brand as a mum favourite, and to be honest I opted for the Triumph as it is the cheapest in the maclaren family, and for my daughter's age range. It was only £90 at time of purchase, (although I am sure with inflation slightly more now) coming with the raincover included. I bought a black maclaren foot muff at an additional £30 off the maclaren website/kiddicare (can't remember exactly!) and that is all that is needed! It has lasted almost 18 months now, the longest and most durable I have had!
The only snag I would highlight is that after all this time I have not worked out how to adjust the back seating! When my daughter sleeps it clearly can lay further back, and when she's awake it goes further up making her sit more upright but I have tried and played with it numerous times, but I'm yet to find the solution! As it is not of crucial importance I have lived without it and my daughter is non the wiser.
Also feel to add it is not one of those spaceship strollers! Although I have a car now and do not use it on public transport, I am aware it fits on small bus gaps with ease, and slots into pushchair space without selfishly taking up space so other needy mothers can get on with their little ones also :)
Summary: A well rounded stroller, ideal for any mum (or dad!) and worth the price
