Mama & Papas Luna Pushchair
Advantages: Spacious, attractive, sturdy
Disadvantages: Rain cover very bulky
We purchased our Luna pushchair from our local Mamas & Papas store just a few months ago. Our baby son had outgrown his Quinny travel system and so we were looking for something altogether more spacious.
The Luna comes in a variety of colours, Truffle (brown), Cress (green), Tulip (pink) and Mandarin (orange). It is available with a range of accessories, all of which come at an extra cost. There are a choice of liners with matching strap pads and head huggers as well as an umbrella to shield from the sunshine and a carrycot.
We chose the Luna in Cress with co-ordinating liner, strap pads and head hugger.
Although the Luna is not a lightweight stroller it is manageable and not at all heavy. It is quite wide in comparison to some models but this is what attracted us to it. We were looking for a pushchair which would give our baby plenty of room to grow as well as protection when in crowds of people. The Luna has certainly satisfied our needs in this respect.
When the pushchair is collapsed it folds in two and therefore is not the smallest of models, although it will fit into the average boot. We have a Renault scenic which has room for our pushchair, my husband's golf clubs and plenty of shopping too.
The Luna can be laid flat by holding together a clip at the back which has a belt strap through it. As you pull the clip down the belt slides through and the pushchair is laid back. This is simple and easy to use and means that it can be set at any angle. The front of the pushchair can also be tilted down which is ideal for when baby is in an upright position.
The harness is a simple design that has straps going over the shoulders and around the tummy, all clipped together at the front. It is easy to get baby in and out of.
At the front of this pushchair is a bumper bar which our son loves to grab hold of and pull himself into a sitting position, enabling him to look around.
The rain cover is quite bulky and almost impossible to fold small which means often it gets left at home. This is one of the disadvantages of this model.
The head hugger in fact has two head huggers attached to it, one inside of the other so that the smaller on one the inside can be taken out as baby grows and the bigger one on the outside can then be used. In my opinion however it could be a little bigger as ours is now too small and has been removed.
Overall I would certainly recommend this pushchair. It is an ideal model which is suitable from birth, is spacious and attractive.
Summary: Would recommend
