Advantages: Fold away easy and is extremly practical and durable.
Disadvantages: Quite heavy
I have to go up a flight of stairs to get to my house and after spending nights on end looking for a pram that would fold away enough for my needs i came across the Mamas & Papas Pliko Pramette. I bought the Pramette, the changing bag and the car seat, however i have a Daewoo Matiz and unfortunatly the car seat was too big for the seat belts to fit around so I ended up buying the Surefix Adjustable Base aswell. Although this was an extra cost I could have done without, it did make life easier when it came to fitting the car seat everytime we went out. Also due to the fact my car is very small the pramette does not fit in to the boot so we have to put one of the car seats down and lay it in that way, have never had a problem fitting it in to anybody elses boot though.
The first time I took my daughter out I had it set up as a traditional pram, she did not like this at all so we set it up with the car seat fitted in so she was more snug and this was far more to her liking. It was very simple to set up like this and very practical when sunny as the hood from the car seat and the hood of the pram join nicely to create a great shady environment. It also ment we could see each other easier, which made for many enjoyable walks round the park gazing at and getting to know each other.
The Pramette has adjustable handles so is suitable for all sizes and has a durable basket underneath, handy for shopping.
The only negatives are that it has a cup holder which is situated on the opposite side to the easy carry handle, so once the pram is folded down and put in to the car you automatically place it with the cup holder on the bottom, which causes it to snap. Also its not the easiest thing in the world to get up and down curbs and steps.
My daughter is now 9 months old and we are going out at the weekend to get her a forward facing car seat which means we will have to start using the pramette as a pushchair now, fingers crossed we get on with it aswell as we did in pram mode.
Summary: Excellent pram, would recommend to anybody.
