Advantages: Folds completey flat like stroller, wheels are good for any ground

Disadvantages: Pushchair got damaged quickly

I brought a Mamas & Papas Plikomatic sportive pushchair for my daughter, in February 99 and although it is only just over a year old, it is really damaged and I would never be able to use it for another baby.

I brought this puschair, because mama's and papas was supposedly a top make, so I thought their product would last well and be built to last, but it is awful, after only having the pushchair 7 months the zip broke on the raincover and because it was then out of guarantee (I did not take out extended one I forgot to send the payment off, I have got more important things to think of with a new baby) I would have had to pay £30 to get it replaced, I had someone repair it for me in the end. Now I have tried to fold the pushchair this morning and the hook won't catch properly in order to keep it locked shut, I am now expecting more things to go wrong with it and I certainly don't think it will last another year. Next time I will buy a cheaper make, that way I will not be disappointed when it doesn't last longer than a year.

Apart from all this the style of the pushchairs are brilliant, they are compact and the sporty wheels cope with whatever you are walking over and they fold up small enough to be able to take on a bus, even though they are a lot heavier than a stroller. They are suitable from birth and the back lays flat like a pram and you can purchase the cosytoes to go with it (which is an extra cost of £40.00). At the time I thought it was a good product to buy, but have been put off buying any Mamas and papas product again.
