      Advantages

      Disadvantages

depends on what you are wanting to use it for!

I saw the micralite fastfold online and didnt find it in any shop so had to take a risk in buying it! Online it sounded like the perfect pram for us so we went ahead and paid at the time £160 although i think the prices have changed now this was a while ago!

      The First Trip Out -

We found that it was very easy to get around the shops, and we did have a lot of looks and comments people saying they had never seen it before and how unique it was, which was nice i must say! my son appeared to be comfortable and nice and warm in his cosey toes but we had a few problems! The pram was no good for shopping at all the basket can only get the raincover and one bag in and you cannot hang bags onto the handles as it tips the pram over so if you are a shop a holic no good for you!

The other problems i faced is the fact it doent recline very much at all so my son was not very comfortable, for short trips it would be fine but not for long journeys!
And of course the final thing was my husband decided to push it up the kerb and he tapped the edge of the kerb and the wheel snapped clean off i wouldnt have been so bothered if he had hit it with some force but no it wasnt hard at all according to a few reviews i have read people have also had to same problems! its not a very hardy pram at all!

      Pros -

Obviously the main pro is the size when folded and unfolded of this pram, its very compact and makes life so much easier if you have a small boot on a car or no storage space in the house! Its also very easy and quick to fold up hence the name, and its a one handed push so you can keep hold of youre other children when need be!

      Cons -

The fact there is only one recline position has put me off although i would have used it as a spare buggy for short journeys but then there is the problem with the wheel so that has put me off completly, its not a very sturdy buggy and wouldnt go over rubble and things like that if you are sticking to smooth paths then you would be just fine!

      Overall -

I would recommend maybe for a spare, to nip to the local shops or to go on holiday, if you wanted to use it as a more permanant pram then i would suggest you buy the off terrain wheels which i found on ebay as they are larger and a lot sturdier than the ones it comes with!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

lovely looking pram for short journeys.

      Product -----

The micralite fastfold is a lovely looking small yet stylish buggy, It has some brilliant upsides but also some downs aswell.
I saw this while i was out shopping, i had to stop a lady and ask her where to buy it as i fell in love as soon as i saw it!
It comes in a couple colours, and you can get some nice accessories for it aswell.

      Good Points -----

I think the first one would have to be its realy realy light! Its easy to fold up and so easy to carry.
The other realy good thing is i found i could push this easily with one hand which does help if you have another child to control at the same time!
Its realy easy to push, and the cosytoes is realy comfortable looking!

      Bad Points -----

I have to say the bad points are the front wheels are small and flimsy, my partner managed to break ours after two weeks as he hit a kerb with the front wheel and it snapped off, not good for a pricy pram!!
The other bad points would have to be it only has one recline position and even that barely lays back at all so i would say its only suitable for short journeys.
Another bad point is the shopping basket, it does have one and you can fit a little shopping in it but its realy hard to get to and again its realy flimsy.

      The Price -----

The micralite retails at around £170 (without accessories) having looked around online the cheapest i can see is £145 at babys mart, but you can get them quite a bit cheaper second hand ranging from around £50 - £80.

      Overall -----

Overall i do like this pram i just think its only suitable for short trips around town as it doesnt look very comfortable to be in for hours.
Its realy nice and easy to steer, but i also think for the price you have to pay you could get a lot better buggy.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      great pram for everyone

I have to say this is one of the best prams i have had and i have had a lot of prams!

I first saw this pram when i was browsing online for a small puschair as i use the buses a lot but i wanted something different from the standard buggys, i loved the unique look of this pram and the reviews people was giving it was fantastic so i thought lets give it a go!
I bought it from kiddiecare.com for 150 pounds which to me was a baragain for what i got!
It came with the rain cover (which is also one of the best ive seen), the footmuff, and a small changing bag.

When i recieved the pram i was amazed, it was so easy to fold, you can fold it with one hand and when folded it stands upright so it doesnt get dirty on the floor!
You can easily push it one handed which is always such a bonus!
It does have a shopping basket its not massive but compared to the size of the pram its a nice sized basket.
It doesnt lay flat but it does slightly recline enough for a toddler or 6 months +, it looks so comfortable and the footmuff was very cosy.

I also found when i took it out, its a big head turner i had so many people asking me what it was called, where i bought it etc.
Its lovely and light to push around a real pleasure realy.

I would definatly recomened this pram to anybody and everybody! It realy is amazing!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Good second pram for my tiny boot, but if I could fit one of the bigger ones in I would swap!

I bought a Micralite as our 'off road' pram (my main pram is a Mamas and Papas Pliko which positively seizes up at the sight of even slight gravel!). It was the only one I could find with big tyres that would fit in my tiny car boot (Nissan Micra).

On the positive side it is very light, and so easy to push compared with the Pliko - you can even push with one hand and walk beside the pram to talk to baby! It folds up to about the same size as the Pliko, so I can fit it in my car boot without even taking off the wheels, which is handy. The rain cover is super quick to fit, no fiddly zips or poppers, just hook it on the handles and do up the velcro strap - great for the very changeable scottish weather! The cosytoes/footmuff (usually an added extra cost) is really snug for winter, and in the summer you can take it out to reveal a mesh back to keep baby cool (we found he got quite a sweaty head in the Pliko on really sunny days). Also, if you buy the new version with red dots on the middle of the front wheels you can pop them off and buy an All Terrain Kit, which is basically two more of the big wheels, for serious off roading.

On the negative side - it is really hard to fold the pushchair with the cosytoes/footmuff attached - I end up hugging the whole thing to squeeze it together! The top of the cosytoes/footmuff could do with poppers to attach the flap up for smaller babies - it stops quite low down on my little one when folded (he's 8 months) so i try to tuck it up at the sides, but when he wriggles it falls back down. The outer wheels at the front tend to stay lifted off the ground because most of the weight is at the back, and if you leave your bag on the handles when you lift baby out the whole thing tips up! I have a pretty small Eastpak messenger bag as my pram bag and it doesn't fit in the basket underneath because of the strap which tenses the footplate. Also, having a rear facing Pliko pram, I really miss being able to talk to my son when he is in the Micralite :(

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

a nice pram for people with a small car boot!

      MICRALITE FAST FOLD ----

I have had two of these the first one my partner managed to easily brake, he clipped a kerb with the front wheel and it snapped clean off we never got around to replacing it but i have been told by several people the wheels are very flimsy.
So we got our second one and i have sold that one on aswell, as i just do not get on very well with it!
I suppose the micralite is brilliant if you are just nipping out and about around town where ther is smooth terrain or just on the buses as its very small and compact, it is easy to push and very easy to steer as you can use one hand which is great if you have shopping bags or other children to keep hold of, it has a shopping basket which has enough space for one or two shopping bags but not much more, the seat doesnt recline enough it barely lays down and my son just never seems comfortable , it does have a very nice cosy footmuff which makes the pram look a lot better and keeps your babys very snug.
The other downsides to this pram is there is nowhere to hang your shopping bags as you cant have barely any weight on the back as the pram will just tip especially if your child is light.
The main thing i have to say i like about this is the way it folds, its very quick and simple to fold and it folds up very small so if your tight for storage this is brill.

      PROS ----

easy to fold, lightweight, easy to push, great for going around town

      CONS ----

flimsy front wheels, easily tips, not enough space in shopping basket, doesnt lay down enough.

Overall, i would say if you dont have a lot of space in your home or your car for a nice sized pram then maybe this would be good for you, but i wouldnt recommend it for young children or as there only pram maybe as a spare yes but not for going on long trips as it just looks way too uncomfortable.

      Price- £165 (mothercare)

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

May be it was bad luck or maybe lucy escape, great features but negatives outweighed the good.

      Micralite Fastfold

Ahh this buggy showed nso much promise and featured some great unique features that gave it a niche in a crowded market!

      Features included

large tyres at back so good to push, large tyres to me implied maybe all terrain even!

Single handle so can push with one hand.

Small basket and spacious seat with slight recline

Looked a bit different and funky as I like to stand out from crowd.

Buggy suitable from 3months however with addition of carrycot or maxi cosi carseat could be used from birth so sounds like good value.

So with all that was seduced how could I fail to like this sounds just what I need, daughter was just over 1 at the time.
Yes daughter was tall and gping through chubby phase.

First thourghts looks bit slouched in seat wonder if shes comfortable?.

Ok pushes nice around living room lovley and light but found the fold really tricky.
My local pram shops nether mothercare or john lewis stocked this brand so could not get demo and ordered it online.

One winter morning on nursury run I thourght great lets take this baby out for a ride.

Alas I got one street away was lifting up low curb and front wheel snapped off! Daughter was bit upset had to tilt backwards and push back home in 2 large wheels and get my maclaren!

I rang micralite customer service that day and the lady gave impression that this was common fault and if I just ring retailer they will send new wheel which the retailer did but they did not seem overly concerned?

New wheel arrived but I lost confidence and was still finding fold tricky so sold on.

Definatly fell short of my expectations and found micralite not that sympathetic.
I do know peoople who love theirs and read the other reveiw and was surprised her front wheel fell off too bit worrying as wheels meant to with stand curbs and despite illusion off all terrain most definatly not.

When the toro came out was seduced by look but the frame still the same so gave it a miss despite loving how it looked I restrained myself from yet another mistake in my quest for perfect buggy

Light and compact fold so could be used on public transport.

Guess its marmite pram love or hate?
Still not very common and I live it city.
Not many high street stockists and more pricey than umbrella folds

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Fantastic pram and makes a realy good travel system

      This pram is FANTASTIC!
Its so light i couldnt believe how light it was when i got it and how easy it is to push around, you can hold another childs hand while pushing this pram as its a one hand push its VERY easy to fold down aswell and stands on its own which makes it so convinent for buses and things like that, the frame is small aswell so zips around the shops very easily.
Theres not much room in the shopping basket though which is a downside but you can always get buggy clips for the handles to hang the bags on but be careful because too much weight on the back will tip the pram.
You can turn it into a travel system aswell by attaching the carrcot its pretty expensive but worth it the carrycot is lovely very comfy and theres loats. of acesories for the micralite.
Only problem i had with it was my partner took our daughter out in it and hit the kerb (by accident) and the front wheel snapped clean off so just be careful
