      Very helpful

      lovely to look at but has to be my worst purchase yet

      * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Introduction ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

      Being a mum to my 2 young boys (4/5years and just turned 2) i like to use the best products for my kids, items that are safe. If you too wish to do that then i would stay away from this buggy. I currently own a bugaboo bee plus pushchair (im a firm believer in the saying, pay cheap, pay twice) so i would rather spend the extra with the trust it will last longer. I couldnt take my normal pushchair away on holiday with us so needed something small and lightweight. My little boy loves mickey mouse and when i saw this i decided to go ahead and make the purchase after reading a few reviews on argos it seemed fine. Being a Mothercare item who specialise in kids things i didnt think there would be any probems. It was in sale in Argos from 50.00 down to 30.00 (cheapest price anywhere i think).

      I would have gone for a well known brand with good reviews such as mclaren but my little boy adored that it was mickey mouse....characters doesnt mean its better.

      * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ The Buggy ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

      Looks wise it does look very cute, very eye catching to both parents and kids, white and navy with a big mickey mouse smiling at you. It came folded up so was easy to collect. It does have the bonus of a carry strap to make it easier to carry once its on a folded position. My little boy couldnt wait to sit in it.

      The pushchair is reccomended for children age 6 months up to aprox 3 years, (15kg is the maximum weight). Its very lightweight coming in at 6.8kg means its easy to get around, on and off of buses etc. When folded the buggy is a good small size, so fits in most boots of cars, L102 W30 D18cm. The handle height is 102cm.

      *It has 2 seperate handles (ideal to hang a nappy changing bag)
      *small basket underneath for a small bag of shopping
      *Detachable hood (the hood is a good height for slighlty taller 3year olds, sadly it means small children are not protected as much from wind etc)
      *5 point safety harness to keep kids secure
      *the 2 wheels at the front are lockable
      *multi recline positions so the seat can be sat upight or laid back slightly (not ideal if your child is used to laying all the way back, adjusts with fabric at the back)
      *also has a blue plastic foot rest
      *simple and easy fold down mechanism

      * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Our Thoughts ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

      I feel the negatives outweight the positives so will start with the good:

      When i 1st purchased the buggy we decided to have a test run around sainsburys to make sure my little boy was comfortable etc. He adored the fact it was mickey mouse and was so excited. It climbed in by himself using the handy footrest and i easily secured him with the seat harness. Its very easy and lightweight to push (have never owned these type of strollers so wasnt sure what to expect). It was as easy and light to push as my normal buggy, my little boy seemed to like it and kept turning round to wave at mickey mouse. The handy front swivel wheels help make it a easy to push.

      The buggy i would not reccomend for a number of reasons. Considering it was a Mothercare buggy i thought it would be of better quality, there is no padding at all to the fabric meaning it cannot be comfortable for more than a couple of hours, my little boy fell asleep with his head resting on the side of the buggy as it doesnt fully recline, he woke with a sore face as again there is no padding. He does have a blue snuggle blanket that goes EVERYWHERE with us so i kept moving his head to try and make some pillow but it kept slipping. No raincover, this had to be purchased seperate at a cost of 9.99 (wasnt complaining to much about this as i did get the buggy on sale). The seat only has 2 reclining options, upright or slightly reclined, my little boy is used to falling asleep nearly flat so kept waking up. The harness is VERY stiff, so stiff that i had to put me gloves back on just to get a good grip to undo it. The wheels made a squeeky noise whenever it was pushed and were made of foam/rubber type material
      so goodness how long those things will last. Because the hood the was quite large my just turned 2 year old looked tiny in it, no protection at all from the wind, leaves flying about etc. The basic reclining method is simply fabirc that is attached to the pushchair to adjust the seat, hardly durable.

      The buggy was only due to last us 2 weeks on holiday, so while it mad many faults, none of them were dangerous....untill after 1 week of use! While crossing the road on holiday the front left wheel came completely off in the road, resulting in my son tipping forward with the whole buggy tipped up balancing on the front right wheel of the buggy.....in the midldle of a road, again the harness was as tough as usual so while trying to hold my 4year old hand, unclip my 2year old and trying to stop the buggy falling over i also had to try and get us out of the middle of a busy road.

      There was a skip near by from someone renovating a house so i threw the buggy in there. My little boy was scared and i was more panicked more than anything. I immediately took my boys back to the hotel which was aprox 20mins away then later that evening got my fiance to drive me back to take pictures of the buggy, phoned mothercare who offered to send a replacement, told them thanks but no thanks and was very surprisingly refunded on the phone.

      Since this happened i have been reading reviews online for this buggy to see if anyone else has had the same problem and from what i can see no-one else has had the wheel actually come off, so perhaps i got landed with a faulty buggy...who knows, but its certainly put me off these stroller buggy's.

      Overall I certainly wouldn't buy this pushchair, while its cute to look at, will appeal to kids and cheap to buy it certainly isn't worth risking my child's life, as said above, it could very well be my pushchair.....still not worth the risk.
