This fun, light, bright stroller is perfect for shopping trips or days out for your toddler. It has an appealing design that children will love and saying 'get in the buggy' will never be a chore or embarrasing scene again!
This buggy is a pretty traditional shape with 4 wheels, an easy to open and close mechanism and a large shopping basket underneath. It looks very similar to a Maclaren but is actually a Mothercare own brand product with cartoon endorsement.
Although this product is very light it is pretty sturdy too. The metal used is put together well and the mechanism has been well thought through and obviously designed with ease of use in mind.
The basket underneath is sufficient for a light shop and reduces the need to hang bags on the handles which, as the product is so light, can cause the buggy to tip over.
The wheels on this buggy are also pretty good. The front two turn with ease and it is easy to manouver even with a large toddler in the seat.
As a safety measure there is a lap belt which on this model also goes over the shoulders. This seems to be comfortable enough although I dont know a single child that wont complain when theyre strapped in! There is also a foot rest which is pretty standard but in bright orange it really stands out.
This buggy is suitable from 6 months and I would say a child could sit in it comfortably to about 3 years old.
At £34.99 it is such a good purchase and you can't fail to get your moneys worth. With Mothercare you also get free delivery and a 2 year guarantee. Two more great reasons to buy this product.
In The Night Garden is a programme I love on Cbeebies and so does my son and recently I've started buying a few different "Night Garden" items for him but I actually had no idea that there was a Night Garden pram available. My son has had a Hauck Travel System pram since he was a Newborn but it is quite bulky and heavy and I've always had difficulty steering it around the shops so I was looking around for something more lightweight for my son that would handle a lot better.
I came across the In The Night Garden stroller on the Mothercare website and I loved how bright and colourful it was - it even features Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle! The colours of the Stroller are Lime Green and Orange so it is suitable for both a Boy or a Girl. With a price tag of only £34.99 it was one of the cheapest Strollers I'd seen and so I headed out to my local Mothercare to get the Stroller. Once in Mothercare I got the pleasant surprise that the Stroller had been further reduced to only £24.99! I think that is a great price for such a nice Stroller. But of course there's more to a Stroller than just a nice appearance.
Having been so cheap I did wonder "What's the Catch?" I thought there must be something not so good about this Stroller which had caused Mothercare to reduce the price. But I barely have a single fault to pick about this stroller! It is so light even with my 20lbs son sitting in it as it has a lightweight aluminium frame, it is also extremely easy to steer which is fabulous when trying to navigate it around a busy shop! It's just what I wanted in terms of weight and its ability to handle, the stroller weight (without baby inside) is 5.6 KG and the comfy-grip handles are 98.5cm in length - perfect for hanging your shopping bags on! There is also a small Shopping Basket in the bottom of the pram which is very handy if you are visiting the shops.
The pram folds really easily and once folded it is 102 x 30 x 18cm so it fits in even the smallest of cars and it is really light to lift in and out of the boot. My son looks comfortable in his Night Garden pram and he is really enjoying being sat up to look around the shops rather than lying back like he used to in his Travel System pram. If my son does fall asleep or if he seems tired you can recline the seat of the pram really easily too, the only one niggle I've had so far is the plastic clips to secure my son into the seat have been quite stiff but I think that is because it is a new Stroller and this stiffness will probably improve.
Mothercare also give a 2 Year Guarantee on this Stroller, although the wheels aren't covered, so I feel I've received great value for money. The price of this stroller really is unbeatable and it is gorgeous! There is also a Stroller Acessory pack available with a few extras which I will review soon.
