Our Broderie Anglaise Mothercare Sun Canopy served us really well and kept the hot rays of the sun away from our baby. The canopy could be detached from the pram and washed when needed, so that it stayed fresh and white looking and was easy to fit onto both sides of the pram. Where it stayed put rather well. The exact canopy we had doesn't seem to be listed anymore, but there is a similar broderie anglaise covered canopy that you can still buy from Mothercare for £19.99. Its very pretty with a nice frilled edge and simple fittings. We liked the light open feel of the broderie anglaise material and felt that as it was white, it would be less inclined to absorb ... During the hot spell we had this summer, (some of you may remember it), we called in to Mothercare to purchase a parasol for our babies buggy (the blue & navy one) it's very pretty and went well with the buggy but that was all! The damn thing has driven us to distraction, it moves all by itself! It spins out of position and we have to stop to adjust it every few steps....needless to say we made a better sun shade than this thing. We made the fatal of mistake of not going for the cheapest as they are often the worst but it didn't make any difference. I would never advise anyone to buy these. The sun canopy is probably better as at least it should ... Read the complete review

I bought this canopy last summer for our non-Mothercare buggy. They are suppose to be universal so I thought it would be fine. At £21.99 it is kind of mid range for this kind of product. It is certainly not the cheapest on the market, although I wish I had bought a cheaper one in the hope it might be of better build quality. I like Mothercare for all kinds of things including clothes (maternity and baby), toys and baby accessories. Unfortunately on this occasion I was let down. This canopy fits on both sides of your pushchair. I chose a canopy that did this so it would be more sturdy and less likely to fly around and change positions in the wind. ... I bought this a few years when my husband was away working in Turkey. If you haven't read a lot of my reviews, I travel to Turkey every two months to see my husband who currently owns a business there. I never exactly thought to bring a sun canopy with me as I just assumed Summer (our baby) would be out of the sun most of the time. However, I just decided to pick this up when I was getting Summer some clothes as it looked handy and very protecting. *aesthetics* Our sun canopy was white and was surrounded by a frilly edge. The top of the canopy is thin but not completely see-through . I love the look of this as our pram is pink and it went really well ... Read the complete review

The Mothercare own brand parasol, is fairly run of the mill. Of course I don't need to recommend the use of a parasol, the really are essential to keep your baby protected from the sun. It is basic and functional, an ok choice if you don't want anything fancy. This parasol folds up small, so is ideal for popping in the changing bag, or your handbag. A nice feature is that you can fix the mounting to your buggy, then pull the parasol on and off. My one criticism of this product would be the mounting screw. This is smooth, and it is really difficult to get a tight fit onto the buggy frame. My advice would be to look cloesly ... Read the complete review
