      Good But Expensive

When we were shopping for things in preparation for the arrival of our first choice, the hubby and I had a list. We tried to stick to the list, because we thought we had everything we would need on it. How wrong we were. One of the things we didn't have on the list was a raincover for the buggy and pram. We didn't buy one when we bought our pram because we didn't really know that there was such a thing. So we bought one elsewhere, which meant we had to buy a universal fits all one, which this Weathershield one from Mothercare does.

The raincover is basically a shaped sheet of plastic that you whiz over your pram when it starts to rain, which then protects your little one and their transport from the rain. It only fits prams and push chairs that have their own hood - that's because it is the hood that gives the raincover its shape and therefore a snug fit. It works really well actually, well on both our pram and our push chair. There are lots of little press buttons on the end of little elastic pieces of material which means that you can attach it to various places on the pram or push chair to make it fit. You can get it to fit snugly, but it is more than a bit time consuming, which is a pain in the back side when it is raining.

The thing that bugs me about this weathershield and all raincovers in fact is the fact that they are so expensive. This one is £20 which is not ridiculous, but considering the fact that it is essentially a heavy duty plastic bag, it is pricey.

      Still recommended though.
