I bought a pack of two Buggy Buddies when my youngest daughter was still in her pram, mainly because they were a bargain but also the pram I was using at the time was missing its basket at the bottom so I literally had nowhere to put a single bag.

Mine are the standard ones, you can buy a lockable version apparently for extra security but I wouldn't bother as scragheads these days would just nick your pushchair (and baby!) if they couldn't get the bag off the handle! When I first saw the clips up close I was surprised at how basic they are, basically it's just one of those rock climbing clips coated in a foam material just like the handle of my pushchair.

The foam coating is there to protect your pushchair and it's fitted to the clip securely so you're unlikely to have any problems with the foam ripping. On one of my clips it has torn slightly but that was a mixture of using it for very heavy bags and my daughter getting hold of it when she was teething! I'm still using it anyway on the odd occasion that I use a buggy these days so the holes in the foam are no big deal.

It's obviously not advisable to put heavy bags on your pushchair, I'm sure most of us with children have looked on in horror at least once as our pushchairs overbalance with the weight of the shopping over the handles. These clips would hold a fair weight, a few times I attached my older daughter's school bag to the Buggy Buddy and the clip held the bag without stretching or damaging it. As long as you make sure you keep one hand on the handle of the pushchair it'll be fine. She says.

The only problem anyone might have with a Buggy Buddy is the width of the handle on your buggy. I've used the clips with a few different pushchairs and was quite lucky that they fit my main pushchair the best due to the fact that it has a slimmer layer of foam coating than many buggies. If yours has a particularly thick handle then you might struggle to get the clip on, but you'll have to work that out for yourself because these things are impossible to measure!
