OBaby Atlas Stroller
Advantages: Cheap, lightweight
Disadvantages: Shopping basket is useless
My parents bought the obaby atlas as a buggy for when they have my daughter. They have her 3 times a week while I'm in work so this made sense, previously they had a mamas and papas pilko which didn't last very long.
They wanted something that was more lightweight and less bulky now that my daughter is older and this fit the boxes. The one they purchased was orange and included a raincover and footmuff for the bargain price of £45, shop around because you can get some really good deals.
My father particularly like this pushchair as it's not at all girly and completely unisex without it being boring black.
The buggy is very lightweight and compact, it is the type of buggy that you can keep in the boot of the car without it taking up loads of room, there's still plenty of space for your shopping. As I'm used to pushing my sola I do have trouble keeping this buggy steady as its so light in comparison. It is however a dream to steer, it takes corners easily and my daughter is very comfortable in it. It does say it can be used from birth as it does lie flat but personally I would want a more substantial pram for a newborn and definitely one that faces me. So in my opinion it isn't really suitable for tiny babies
I wouldn't purchase one myself though as I like having Amelia facing me on walks, I think the face to face interaction is especially valuable for her social development and communication skills.
There are some negatives to this buggy. The shopping basket is up so high it makes it useless, you can't actually get anything in it. Or if you do manage you would never be able to get it back out again. It is also so light that you can't hang the changing bag off it for fear of it tipping over.
All in all for the price they paid for it, it was definitely well worth the money and being used occasionally as a second pram the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
Summary: For the money, a great little stroller
