I bought this for my daughter when she was eighteen months, as we were going on holiday. It was £99.99 which I thought was reasonable for a light-weight buggy, especially considering this included a cosy-toes, rain cover and bag. The fact that it included all of this made it easier too, I didn't have to buy add-on's or even look for them. It only took us five minutes to put together, which is less than the average pushchair.
My pluses were that the o baby was very light and it folded up well. It had plenty of room for my eighteen month old and was light. I found the strap to rest their feet on was stronger than most light-weight buggy's, as previous ones light-weights we had purchased had all had the foot-rest snap, this did not happen with this pram. On the whole it was sturdy, however having the changing bag on the handles did affect the sturdiness. The basket was a good size and easy to access.
My minuses were the colours it came in were all very light and this meant that it got dirty very easily, but it was not easy to clean. The height of the handles was quite tall for me; I am 5ft 4 which I consider pretty average for a woman but the handles came to well above my belly, this could be a real plus though if you are tall as I know many pushchairs have very low handles. Also despite the handles having foam on them, they did hurt my thumbs.
This buggy does come with a newborn snug, but I am of the opinion that it is not really suitable for a baby that young. I would not even consider this buggy for a child under one, as it just does not offer the support needed nor lay back as much as I liked for a young baby. I would not really consider it for an every day buggy for an older baby either, but more for toddler/young children who will just be popping into the buggy to rest or nap.
A few months ago we needed a new buggy for our litle girl who was 1 and 1/2 years old, we had never ac tually had a girls buggy or stroller always having a unisex one and this time I knew I wanted one that was certainly for a girl. I first saw this stroller on the internet but at a selling prfice of £149.99 I decided it was far too much however I then found one on ebay brand new and managed to get it for £74.
The buggy cames in a cardboard box and when you first opened it you had to build a couple of bits of the buggy such as the wheels needed attaching which is simple enough just pushing them onto the metal poles and making sure that they click into place, another bit that needed putting together was the hood which is some clips just to push around the metal poles. The pieces were easy to put into place and very secure and the instructions were very easy to follow so building the buggy only took a matter of minuites.
The buggy is available in three different colours, pink, lilac and grey, I personally thought the grey looked boring and of course again would have been unisex so we got the lilac version, the buggy has a couple of little pictures of a tatty teddy on it and the hood is trimmed with white spotted material which actually is a pain as when folded the wheels lean against this piece of material and it gets very dirty and being on the edge of the hood it is not very easy to clean.
The buggy is very easy to put up although a little harder to collapse, to put it up you have to release a clip on the right hand side and then it will unfold itself and you simply use your foot to click the bar into place just above the brake to secure the stroller and stop it collapsing again. To collapse the buggy down again there is a circular piece of metal on the bar that you use to put it up and you have to push a little button in on one side and pull a lever underneath then once this has released the bar which is quite fiddly you have a small lever on the right hand side to push down with your foot and the buggy will collapse. I find getting both buttons at the same time to collapse the buggy a little fiddly so for someone like my father who has Parkinsons and shakes this bugy would not be ideal.
The buggy is suitable from birth and comes with a head hugger for small babies and has little padded areas on the straps which can be removed when the child is a little older and they are no longer needed. The buggy reclines in multiple positions and lays nearly flat which is great, the recline function is controlled by a small press in button and you can position exactly as you want as there is no set reclines as it is set by a piece of corded material so you can move the setting as far down the cord as you wish. There is a footrest for your child so that when they are young the buggy has a little extension on it however we have found with our daughter who is nearly 2 the seat part of the buggy isn't very wide and she was slipping off and causing the straps between her legs to pull tight which we didn't like so we find it is better to have the footrest up for her, the footrest is controlled by a small lever underneath.
The buggy has the usual shopping basket underneath and it does hold quite a bit compared to other buggies which is good and there is a small zip pocket onthe back of the hood which is big enough for a purse and phone although I would never put these items in a buggy. The rain cover comes with the buggy and this is easy to fit as it sits nicely over the hood and then fastens with velcro around the bottom however if you don't use the rain cover for a period of time then it becomes difficult to put on as it all sticks together and gets very creased. Another issue with the buggy is that you have to make sure the hood is down, the rain cover is off, the seat is reclined and the footrest is down before you can collapse it that is according to the instructions however I have found it will recline with the seat upright but not without sorting any of the others things which isn't too big a deal unless you are in the pouring down rain.
There are good points and bad points with this buggy,
Comfortable as long as leg rest is up
Good shopping space
Easy to put up
Has swivel or fixed wheels
Straps are too long for a newborn,
Gets dirty easily and not very easy to clean
Fiddly to fold down
I would recommend this buggy for older babies probably from about 6 months, I don;t feel this is suiatble for a newborn as the straps are far too long and they wouldn't be secure in my opinion. I love the look of the buggy I just wish it didn't get so dirty so easily but I personally would buy it again.
