Petite Star Zia
Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to Push, Compact
Disadvantages: Tips Easily, Low Handle Height, Small Shopping Basket
The Petite Star Zia was our first pushchair and we purchased it with the cocoon. When our little one was born she was perfect size for the cocoon and I did love the pushchair.
The one problem we had is having a Ford KA as a car - the boot is small however the Zia fit perfectly into the boot with a small space for shopping! PERFECT! Although there wasn't room for the cocoon but we could cope with this by putting it on the back seat.
First flaw - the raincover does not fit when the cocoon is on! I gave birth in January 2011 - the snow had gone but it was pretty miserable and when it rained we had to put our tiny 5lbs 5 newborn into the stroller to keep her dry! Not very practical as we ended up having to pad it out for her to fit! Only did this twice & then had to stay in when it rained!
Second flaw - the shopping basket is tiny however I wouldn't say it bothered us too much! We coped with it and in the end I was managing to fit raincover, footmuff & a tub of formula in so you can do it!
Third flaw - you can't put any shopping on the handles! This would be ok if you had a large shopping basket but you don't so you are stuck with not having anywhere to put any shopping! Twice it tipped up with my daughter in! Scary and not nice!
Fourth flaw - the handles are low! This comes with having such a compact stroller but I'm only 5ft 5 (ok I do have long arms too) and pushing this all day left me hunching over and left me with terrible back ache!
Other flaws - you can't fit a universal parasol!
Overall it is a lovely pushchair - I liked the design and it was easy to put up and down. It was fairly easy to fit the cocoon, very easy to push but I had to sell on in the end because my back could take no more & it's the little things that matter!
Summary: Lovely Pushchair But Flawed!
