We did a lot of searching through review sites and even trialed a double buggy (side by side design) before deciding for ease of use, lightness (for pushing easily soon after having a baby and lifting in/out of cars, buses etc on your own) this was the best buy for us. We found one in a bright apple green colour and its first trip out was to the local supermarket, via the park. So far so good, it stood up to carrying a baby and a toddler safely, easily managed a grassy, muddy park and could fit through all doors easily. It also had a good harness that took my eldest a few weeks to work out how to undo and so felt very safe. A doubles pack can be purchased as an extra which includes a seat that sits almost under the buggy and provides a toddler a comfy place to perch if they prefer sitting to walking. This design does slightly limit shopping basket space as the toddlers legs go into basket. The other extra purchase is a soft carrycot that cocoons the baby and allows them to lie flat with the older child in the main buggy seat. The buggy is forward facing and can lie flat. It weighs around 12kg, has air pneumatic tyres, a lockable swivel front wheel and all wheels are quick release which helps to keep it folded really flat in the boot if you have loads of bags - eg on holiday..also a break and a single raincover included. Not suitable for 2 children the same age due to layout but perfect with very young toddler and baby of 2 older toddlers. The shopping basket is spacious and can be well loaded before anything falls out - however when loaded the bottom of the fabric basket did drag on curbs and after a few months got a small tear in it. Once in the supermarket we received many compliments (on our children and the buggy!) mainly from parents who had other buggies that were heavy to push and lift or from people who had buggies that were a struggle to fit through normal size doorways. We could fit this buggy - and the extra doubles kit - easily into the boot of a Ford Escort and a Ford Focus car which should give an idea of size. it all folded flat so for example when going on holiday, bags could be piled on it or it could be laid in last and hatchback still fitted over with ease (and lots of bags.) I could confidently manage this buggy on my own, even with a toddler in tow. The steering was light and could be easily turned even with one hand. on the (not so) rare occasion of running late I could even run with this buggy! Also easy to fold with one hand (once you have tried it a couple of times) which it meant it was easy to use on and off buses and trains even when travelling on my own with the kids. Price - in the region of £400 with all the extras but worth shopping around as there are many bargains out there - ours was classed as last seasons colour (not that we or the kids minded!) so it was £100 cheaper ......
