Phil & Teds E3
Advantages: great if 2 toddlers that dont like walking!
Disadvantages: cant see newborn underneath
i started looking round for a double buggy when i found out i was expecting my 2nd child. my daughter was going to be almost 2 and a half when my son was born and at the point of looking for a double she was still at the stage where she would tire easily when walking so a double seemed to be the best option, and as i relyon public transport the phil and teds seemed to fit the bill perfectly as it wasn't wide like the side by side buggies. However when my son was born my daughter decided that pushchairs were for babies and refused point blank to go in it! So when my son was 3 weeks old i decided to sell it and buy a stroller as it was too big for my needs with just my son going in it.
The overall design and idea of the phil and teds i think is great for 2 toddlers as the double seat underneath is a fantastic alternative to the side by side or tandem buggies, it's actually not that heavy either as i pushed it when 8 months pregnant with my daughter and her friend in doubles kit mode. The cocoon for the newborn is lovely and snug, though i have to say in the end i didn't like the fact that my son was underneath my daughter, nobody could see him except me and half the time people didnt realise that i had a newborn as well!! The raincovers and the windshield for the back when using the cocoon are excellent, very easy to put on and cover the pushchair well. I did like the pushchair in general, it just ended up not being practical for my needs!
Summary: not for me!!!
