Advantages: Easy to push, has so many seating options, great looking
Disadvantages: Price, brake is stiff
After discovering I was my pregnant with my third child I thought it was time to invest in a new double buggy. We already had a side by side buggy which is a nightmare to get through doors and pushing it round the shops is a nightmare as people can be so rude if they can't get past you. I saw another mom pushing a Phil & Ted and thought that's the buggy I have to have.
I thought I would do my research because who exactly was Phil & Who exactly was Ted? Phil & Teds is a Company based in Wellington. They concentrate on quality and value there staff backing them to succeed with their careers.
I went out and we decided on the Phil & Teds Sport. It cost around £348.00 but that was with the doubles kit and the raincover.
The buggy itself
The buggy is a 3 wheeler and comes in all sorts of colours. Black, Red, Blue Lime Green and you can even get a graffiti style one which is quite trendy looking.
The Buggy can be collapsed quite easy by two little levers on the side that you pull out and the main seat collapses into the frame. If you have a smaller car you can clip off the front wheel and it fits perfect into a smaller boot. The Wheels are quite chunky and hardwearing great for off road and the front wheel can be locked into place or left to swivel, this again is controlled by a little lever. There is a brake just located by the back wheels which is very efficient as the buggy doesn't move once in place but this is quite stiff and can take some might to press down.
The main seat can be used for a toddler or you can lay it back flat, attach the cocoon (sold separately) and put a newborn baby in it, they can even face you so you can keep an eye on them. There is a shopping basket under the main seat which is quite roomy compared to other models I have seen. You can also still use the basket if you have the doubles kit attached to it.
There is a 5 point harness with 2 shoulder straps & 2 waist straps and the middle part that they connect to brands the Phil & Teds Logo and it also lies central of the child so it's kind of like the child has reins on but is strapped down. (Hope that makes sense).
There is a hood over the main seat which has a peephole over it so you can have a little peek at bubbas whilst on the move. Most buggies come with either the singles raincover or double raincover which is easy to fit. You just throw it over the buggy and it has several press studs that you just clip on to keep it in place.
The handle bar can be adjusted in to several up or down positions which ever suits you better.
Ease of Use
The Buggy is so easy to push even with one hand and it comes with a hand strap attached to the handle bar that you just put round your wrist whilst out and about. It's a nice ride on smooth or rough surfaces and great also in wet weather.
The only down is the buggy weighs nearly 11kg so can be quite big to lift when upright.
The Buggy fits into the car quite comfortably. As you fold the buggy down there is a metal handle for you to lift the buggy in and out which is a good idea. If you have a smaller car you can take the front wheel off and fit into the boot, which is probably one of the best benefits of this buggy as alot of double buggies won't fit in a normal boot.

Positives
It is a really trendy looking buggy, easy to use/push, you can get it through doorways and when used with the doubles kit it you can fit two toddlers into it. Great to get into smaller boots.
Negatives
The Phil & Teds is quite pricey but personally I think it is well worth the money and if you look around you can pick them up cheaper via websites like Ebay etc.
The brake can be a nightmare and really needs a forceful foot to push it down.
Conclusion
I love my Phil & Teds and would not want to swap it for any other buggy. It easier to push than any other I have tested. It has so many options of where the babies/children go in it, and my little boy loves sitting in the doubles seat at the back I think he thinks it's like a little adventure. I would recommend over any other buggy and trust me I have tried a few!!
Summary: I would buy this buggy over any other
