Advantages: Easy to use and push

Disadvantages: The price

We bought the Phil and Teds sport buggy over 3 years ago as we had a toddler and a baby on the way. The buggy itself was very expensive and then we discovered that everything that went with it was an extra as it came with nothing! We had to buy the doubles kit (another seat), sleeping bag (snuggle and snooze), the cocoon and two rain cover as we were told that we needed 1 for when the buggy is a single and 1 for when the buggy is a double (over £200 worth of extra's in total!).

The wife had to have it! (I prayed to the bank manager!) We had only been using the buggy for about 5 months when the stitching started to come apart and the material was ripping where the baby went (the original seat in the buggy that you have to unzip) so it was only carrying a few pounds. We took the buggy back into the shop and complained and after many months we got a new one (and very thankful that we could return the loan double that needed a wide load sticker on the back!). We have not had any more problems since (I've never heard of another one doing this so I think we were just very unlucky).

We have found that you can't put too much weight into the shopping basket on the bottom otherwise it drags on the pavements and the brake is very hard to put on and off.

Three years of using this buggy and we have yet still to use the single buggy rain cover! I would recommend if you are going to buy one of these buy the double rain cover only.

On the plus side the width of the buggy is the same (if not slightly smaller) than a single buggy, you can push it with one hand and it will easily push over sand due to the three wheels. The buggy is very easy to convert from single to double etc and folding is no problem at all, you can even take the front wheel off once folded if you have limited space in the boot. We registered the buggy with Phil and Teds and if a safety issue is brought to their attention and they make a part they will send it to you through the post.

Overall I am glad we got this buggy and would not have considered one of the other doubles, however, I would say to keep in mind that the price you pay is just for the buggy unless there are any special deals on.

Summary: A great double buggy the width of a single
