Advantages: Lovely to push, great carry cot and fab with the maxi cosi car seat

Disadvantages: Too heavy for everyday use

As a first time mum I had plenty of time on my hands while pregnant and did absolutely tonnes of research into pushchairs. I decided on the Quinny Buzz after reading loads of great reviews. When my baby was tiny we bought the Dreami carry cot and this made the buzz into a lovely pram. I loved being able to push a 'proper' pram rather than these travel systems with car seats plus it was loads better for my baby who was able to wriggle around and lie flat. The inside of the Dreami is lovely and soft and my little one loved it. However the dreami was so heavily padded that as my little boy grew there wasn't enough space for him. He probably only used it for 4 weeks at the most. However I don't regret getting the dreami, for those all important first few weeks it was great. The maxi cosi car seat also fits onto the frame of the buzz and was a god send. For all those quick visits in and out of places it was great to just unclick the seat and put it straight onto the frame without waking my baby. It's only over the last few months (my little boy is just gone 1) that we are using the buzz actually as a pushchair. It's quite sad that the main use of this pushchair is its down fall. All the extras are great, just as a pushchair it's way too bulky and heavy. We ended up buying a Maclaren as a second pushchair and this is far more practical and lightweight. The buzz will only fit in my car if both wheels are removed, which is a pain as every time I take in and out of my boot it takes ages to assemble (where as the Maclaren goes up and down with a kick and a push - easy). The buzz is lovely to push on bumpy roads and is great for long walks. On a number of occasions I have put a large blanket over my Maclaren pushchair to help my baby go to sleep. There is no way I could do this with the Buzz because the sun canopy is so close to the seat of the pushchair and would be too close to my little one's face, which is a shame. I really do love my Buzz, but I'm also glad I have the optio of using my Maclaren as well.

Summary: I love this pushchair but am glad I've got a lightweight alternative as well
