This buggy is, in one word, awesome. I love this buggy. If i had to come back as a buggy it would be this one. I cannot say strongly enough what a fab buggy this is, but if you need more than that then read on. This buggy is a 3 wheeler with a 5 point harness. The buggy frame can be used with a maxi cosi car seat, although i never did this myself, the pram top attachment and the stroller attachment. This makes it a good investment for all stages of growth up to about 2 years. It has a foot rest and shopping basket, which is surprisingly spacious. I started using this buggy from birth with our daughter, using the pram attachment up until she was about 5 months, then switched to the stroller seat in a reclined position and then as she became happier sitting up i moved the seat position to allow her to feel more comfortable. I found that the pram top was really cosy and comfortable for my daughter, with her facing me i felt like i could keep an eye on her whilst she was little and the hood and cover kept the wind/sun/rain out. Once she got more curious about the world around her i moved her into the stroller seat and she loved it. Allowing her to see more of what was going on around her. The structure of this buggy is such that it is built to last. Other than holidays, i have used this buggy every day. The only thing i have had to replace are the inner tubes on the tyres, i found it simple to do and didn't take long, worth it for a buggy which moves so smoothly. The buggy is really easy to manouver, even one handed, and i found that it was easy to get up and down steps. I like the weight of this buggy, heavy enough to feel like it has a strength about it without being so heavy that it feels bulky and annoying. The only downside to this buggy is that i cannot get it into my car without removing the front wheel. I only have a small car so for someone with an estate/4x4 this would not be an issue. It didn't particularly bother me as i don't drive often, but for someone who has to put the buggy in and out of the car on a daily basis i can see how this may become annoying. I would recommend this buggy to anyone who wants a buggy which is well made, easy to use and lasts for the length of time a child needs a buggy rather than for only one stage of it.
I bought this pram as a travel system when I was pregnant with my daughter. I loved the fact that it was sturdy and that all the wheels are tyres so it was such a smooth ride over bumpy terrain. It is easy to fit the maxi cosy car seat to the frame and I used it like this for several months to begin with. The downside is that because it is sturdy it is a little bulky to fold away and for a lot of cars you have to take a wheel off to get it in the boot. Luckily the wheels are very easy to remove and replace- but still a hassle in the rain. When a bolt came off the side of the pushchair it was a bit of a pai to replace as you have to deal with dorel customer sevices online and it took a couple of weeks to get the spare bolt. I don't know if this is a known problem or whether I was unluvky with this. As my daughter has got older I am less happy with it, as she is able to lean forward and bring the back of the pushchair forward with her as this is only connected with velcro. I have now found it more useful to go for a smaller stroller.
I purchased this pram when my son was about 6 months, I was doing alot of walking and my previous pram didnt feel sturdy enough. My son is now 15 months old and I still love this pram. Its fab for walking the big wheels let it glide along in all conditions, apart from sand I found I had to drag it backwards. I purchashed the raincover, cosy toes, changing bag and bumper bar all from kiddicare.com which is excellent for buying the pram as a set. The pram is abit heavy, it collaspes very easily though and I could easily pick it up to put in my boot, bringing me to my next point, I drive a new shape cilo which has a reasonable boot size and it did take up all my boot meaning ive had a purchase a small stroller for the car. This pram is a all terain pram, which it is although I cant use it when in the car I do alot more walking with it my son has a comfortable ride and i have a easy pram to push its so light when pushing, has adjustable height handles and a hand brake which comes in handy when walking down a hill. I would rate this pram 10/10 and when baby number 2 arrives I will be purchasing the maxi-cosi dreami to attach for newborn, Excellent pram Excellent value for money
First Sight ---- I saw the Quinny Speedi in Mothercare for 270.00 this was just for the pram and the rain cover which is pretty pricey but i do have to say its worth it. The first thing that attracted me to the pram was the size of the seat, my son is big for his age and i had been looking for a pram that would be suitable for him so he could have some room and comfort when out and about. There was a nice size shopping basket on the pram aswell which is always a bonus, the wheels at the back are nice and big which also adds to a comfortable ride. The other thing i loved about it was the colours you could get it in and the matching accessories like the footmuffs and there is also quinny blankets you can get which is nice. This is also compatible with the maxi cosi car seat so can be used from birth. First Day Out ---- The first ride out with this pram was like a dream, it was so easy to push, i found you could steer it with one hand! My son looked so comfortable in the pram aswell not a single complaint from him which is unusual he usually hates going in his pram. I loved the big hood on the pram aswell blocked all the sunshine from him which is always good! The only problem i would say is the fact its bulky, its bigger than a normal quinny and a lot bigger than a standard pushchair and its also heavy when folded. Verdict ---- I would definatly recommend the quinny to anyone, its easy to push, comfortable and roomy. I havent had any problems with this pram so far!
I bought this pram a month ago for my son whos 9 months old but hes big for his age.. and he looks lovely in it its not a small pram though its quite bulky but not as bulky as the quinny buzz, its nice and light to push and pushes realy nice, when folded its quite heavy though. It has an adjustable foot rest, 5 point harness, nice roomy shopping basket and adjustable handles. There is loads of differnt accessories you can buy for this pram which is why i love it, you can get the quinny changing bags, quinny blankets, extra shopping baskets, footmuffs, shopping clips. The pram is pretty expensive but its definatly worth buying, but i would go into a store first and have a play around and a push and see what you think because like marmite with quinnys you either love them or you hate them. Its also travel system compatible with the maxi cosi carseat!
Me and my partner went to the Babyshow at Birmingham NEC when I was pregnant. We came across a nice exhibition by Glasgow Pram Centre. They had a lot to offer and the staff helped us as there was a lot on demonstration. They showed us the Quinny Speedi SX in black and red. It was is big but folded compact. They were selling it as a complete travel system minus the car seat. There was the Dreami carrycot, an extra safety matress the footmuff, the nappybag and the raincovers and mosquito nets. This was just over 3 years ago and cost in the region of £300-£400. It was so stylish and I couldn't wait for them to deliver it. My Brother bought me the matching Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat. The pushchair came with all the attachments. The instructions were easy to follow. We had the main chasis without the pushchair on for the first few months of our Daughters life. We just used the carrycot and carseat that clipped on. It was always very sturdy and excellent on all types of terrain. It had a big enough basket at the bottom that unzipped to become bigger. And had a little velcro compartment to keep the pump in that came with it for the tyres. The pushchair had a nice hood. Everything was nicely padded and extra cosy. The front tyre could lock or unlock to swivel. The handle height could easily be adjusted which is genius! The footrest could move up and down to whatever suited you. The raincover was easy to put on and did a good job of keeping out the wind and rain. The seat reclined and the footmuff was warm and cosy. The carrycot was a life saver, it was the only thing my Daughter would sleep in! With a hood that went up and down. We got an extra safety matress for it as the one that comes with it isn't that thick. It has lots of pockets and a net. The carseat is fab, I've already reveiwed this seperately and would highly recommend it. I used this for both of my girls and I really miss it, it really made going out fun and it was stylish and cosy. It was quite bulky so may take up a bit of room in your car boot, unless you have a big one. We had a Corsa then a Meriva and we managed fine.
