Advantages: Cheap, simple to use.

Disadvantages: No added extras, not very comfortable, no reclining seat.

I have recently started looking after a gorgeous little girl called Darcey, she is ten months old and I have her few mornings a week.
Her mum was bringing a big pram thing with her each day, but as I don't drive and sometimes need to get on buses or trains, I wanted something a bit more lightweight and easy to collapse.
I decided to buy an inexpensive buggy that I could keep at my house, my request seemed simple enough but it was a much harder task than I first thought. I have not needed a pushchair for quite some years now and hadn't realised how complex and expensive they had become. I was about to give up, when I saw this Red Kite - Push me stroller in my local Sainsburys, it was exactly what I was looking for.

What features does it offer ?
Well basic is the key point here, there are no frills or fancies there is not even a shopping basket.
What you get is a one position seat, this is OK for me as I only ever use it to pop to the shops or do the school run but It would be much better if it could lie down, especially if the baby wants to sleep. The seat is made of a strong fabric, it is easy to wipe down and quick to dry. It is not padded at all which is a shame as I think a little extra comfort would go a long way. There is a five point harness which is adjustable, this is great and makes sure that the child is safe and will not fall out.
You also get swivel front wheels, this is great for turning corners and makes the stroller easy to push. You can lock these if you wish by pushing a little clip down on the front of each wheel. There is also breaks on the back wheels to stop the buggy from rolling away when you are not holding it. That's it no hood, cosy toes, rain cover, cup holder, shopping basket or attachments just a basic buggy. If you are after a main everyday buggy then this will probably not be ideal for you, but as a spare 'nanny's house' buggy or holiday stroller it serves it's purpose well.
It is suitable from 6 months up.

What does it look like ?
My stroller has a lighter blue seat than the one in the picture, but the basic frame is the same.
It has a fabric seat with a 5 point canvas strap. There are two squidgy foam covered handles, which I find great for steering and they also make great shopping bag holders.
At the bottom there is a plastic foot bar, this doesn't get used at the moment as Darcey only has little legs but I think it would be a great benefit for older children to put their feet on to stop them dragging along the floor.
It certainly is not the most fashionable of buggies out there nor is it the prettiest but it is not hideous and I am not embarrassed when I am out using it.

Is it easy to use ?
Very, very easy to use. It has an umbrella fold which is perfect for me as I can fold the buggy up with one hand whilst holding Darcey in the other. The harness is easy to clip together and adjust. The wheels are easy to lock, and the stroller is easy to manoeuvre. A very simple 'old fashioned' buggy.

Where can I get it and how much does it cost ?
I bought mine from my local Sainsburys, it is a big superstore so I am not sure if the standard supermarkets sell them. But it is available on-line.
It cost £24.99 which I think is a super bargain.

Overall - I think the buggy is easy to use, store and clean. It is not fancy and I would not want to keep Darcey in there for long periods of time as I do not think it would be very comfortable. I think it is perfect for a spare buggy or older toddlers who like to walk a lot but might just need a ride home.

Summary: A good no frills buggy .
