Silver Cross 3D
Advantages: Great in carrycot mode, easy to fold, good brakes.
Disadvantages: Not parent facing in buggy mode
The silver cross was a gift which I was very grateful for! It looks great is suitable from birth and is comfortable.
It has two settings. The carry cot mode and the buddy mode. From birth I obviously used the carry cot mode. It had the baby laid flat in a comfortable pram liner. It is a generous hood which helps keep the sun out of baby's eyes and a foot muff to keep the baby warm. My daughter adored her pram so much she had all her naps in there, she seemed to feel very secure in there. I'm glad it allowed her to lay flat as I cannot bare the prams with car seats.
The buggy mode I didn't like quite so much. My daughter was tall so by around 5-6 months she was out of the carry cot mode and needed to be sat up. This silver cross is only forward facing and I didn't like that, I wanted a parent facing pram which is what I the bought.
The pram is very easy to manoeuvre. I regularly get public transport and it was easy to get on and off the bus. It is lightweight and it is sturdy so if you are pushing over a bumpy pavement babies still remains comfortable.
The pram looks great. It has a silver structure with grey and green fabric. I sometimes think Silver cross prams can have negative connatations, however I never felt this way when pushing the pram.
The brakes are great on the pram which is handy when you get buses and the shopping basket is a reasonable size. It is easy to fold and easy to put back up, and is quite compact so when you are putting it in the boot of your car it isn't a struggle.
Overall it is a good pram I just wish it had the option of parent facing in buggy mode, then I wouldn't have had to buy a new one. If this isn't an issue for you though, then this won't be a problem.
Thank you for reading my review.
Summary: A good pram just not for me.
