“ Manufacturer: Silver Cross / Stroller Frame / Reclining Back (4 Positions) / Adjustable Handle Height / Overall Weight: 14.55 lb. „
Chassis sold separately should you wish to have the luxury of two different chassis - if like me you had difficulty deciding between the linear and the classic chassis! However, I could not personally justify spending another £175 on a spare chassis after spending over £700 on the pram system!
Information from Silver Cross:
The lightweight Linear Chassis is compact and perfectly suited for city life when combined with a Sleepover or Freeway body to create a complete pram system.
This chassis is included with each purchase of a Linear Freeway or Linear Sleepover but is now available to buy online as a standalone item should you require a replacement or extra chassis.
Our Ventura Plus car seat also quickly attaches to the Linear Chassis to create an instant travel system.

Now you have all the information, I shall give you my opinion on the chassis. Like I said I had difficulty choosing between the tradition version classic chassis - which had it's pros of having an extra large basket and multi-terrain wheels. However the cons of the classic chassis was the weight and that it would be harder to manoeuvre.
This is where the pros for the linear chassis comes in - it is lightweight and very easy to manoeuvre with it's swivel wheels. It is very easy to adjust the handle to suit different heights of 'drivers.' It is a lovely design and fairly trendy to look at.
The cons to the linear chassis is that the wheels are standard wheels and do not really protect from bumps in the paths and it is not easy to use in country terrain. I also find the shopping basket limited. It may be of a generous size, however I have difficulty getting shopping bags into the basket, due to the chassis itself and the body of the pram getting in the way. I have to take items out of the carrier bags and put them in separately in order to fill the basket adequately. It can be a bit of a pain when all you want to do is to put one or two carrier bags in the basket.
Another limitation is the braking system. It may state that it works by pressing down onto the bar with your foot but I do not always find it works properly each time. You have to really double check the brake and push down hard to get it to click into place.
The tyres also get worn down very quickly and mine wore down after 3 months of use.
It may sound like I do not like this product but I am providing constructive criticism of a product that I do like and would purchase again.
I am happy with my choice of pram system and am glad that I chose the linear over the classic chassis but I wanted to let you all know the limitations and gripes that I have found with it.
I can honestly say though, that the shopping basket is a more generous size that similar products of other leading brands.
