... purchased this model from Homebase about 18 months ago and paid around £279. It is very easy to use and performs well. However, you can imagine that one doesn t use it very often, I would guess on average once every two months. I went to clean my car this morning and was dismayed when water started gushing out of the handle as well as from the jet nozzle. The washer is out of guarantee and I have no idea if it can be repaired. I went for a Bosch because I thought the internal fittings would be of better quality. In retrospect I wish I had now gone for a cheap model even if it meant having to replace it every few years, it would have worked out cheaper in the long run. :...

... this power washer is going for £29.99 at B&Q. It is quite good and does what power washers do. handy for washing down patios - getting the green slime of the concrete. cleaning the car - getting the muck from under the wheels. handy for getting paint off old fences and brickwork. BUT...the extras cost a few quid. The car washing lance costs about £20. This I suppose is because they want to make more money. There is also an option of adding detergent to the power washers water jet. This consists of a silly piece of plastic tubing which you have to attach to the washer and then insert in soap or whatever cleaning liquid. This is a very stupid set ...

... Believe it or not but summer is on its way. Weather wise I mean. I have managed to plant a few summer plants in my tubs and hanging baskets and instantly my garden looked a little bit brighter. Except for one or two things that let the garden down. Green slimy moss on my patio tiles and weeds sticking up between each tile. My patio needed a good scrub and de-weeding. If you think I was going to get a brush and scrub it, then mess around with weed killers, think again.
