B&Q Performance Pressure Washer
by davidmiddleton87 I paid £30 for mine and to be honest you get what you pay for. The power is not very good and does not seem to be that much more powerful than simply using a hose. The unit is very compact and light but does make an awful lot of noise when it is pumping and building pressure. The plastics are of a good quality and the whole ... unit feels quite sturdy. There is not a lot of options with accessories either or the option to add soap when washing the car or sometihng. I found when washing the car that most of the dirt just sat there and I had to resort to hand washing anyway which was disappointing since this was the application I had in mind. I have used more expensive products in the past and although they tend to be quite a bit larger they are impressively more powerful. I would recommend spending more maybe not by much but definitely avoid the cheapest on the market because like me you will just be going to buy another one come next summer. B&Q Performance Pressure Washer
by Barnschop Wow I saw the power wash in B&Q and thought at last a decent price. I've used powerwashers at work so thoughrt yes I'll try it. Well I got the powerwash and accesories, nearly 70 pound. It took about 10 minutes to set up and start using. One of the nozzles is a rotating narrow jet, this is brilliant at cleaning the drive. Talk ... about the difference in colour, from the drive moved on to the brickwork again impressed. All this cleaning and no soap. Tried it on some parsnips and potatoes, just pleased that was not my hand in front. Only point against is there is no internal soap dispensor or dilution control. Nearly forgot, you should see the weeds being shredded in the gaps between my slads on the patio. Read the complete review |

B&Q Performance Pressure Washer
by belucky88 Never having seen a pressure washer in action, today I witnessed one and was absolutely amazed with it. I watched in awe as My Dad was using this item to clean His patio, which was covered in green slimey stuff. With each left to right swaying motion,I watched the power of the spray remove every bit of dirt and that horrible green ... stuff. He used it to clear debris that had acumulated around the plant pots and each gap between the paving stones.Everywhere was spotless when He had finished,I was totally impressed. Excitement over, let Me tell you about this item. It is called a pressure washer, made by performance for B&Q,and the price is £49.99. Its essentially a power electric motor driving a set of pistons, that force water through a small nozzle, creating a pressurised jet of water. The pressure washer is enviromentally friendly, which reduces water consumption. This is ideal if you are one of those unfortunate ones, who has a water meter fitted. You can either use plain water or add a detergent depending on what you need to wash. You will need a hose pipe,of minimum length 7.5m,this fits onto the washer drum. Fit the spray gun hose to the machine, select the setting you require. There are two settings to choose from, one is high pressure for a more concentrated jet,the other being low, this gives a wider spray at a lower pressure. I have to point out that it does have a rather noisy motor, about the only bad thing I could find about it though. It does come with good clear instructions in the form of a leaflet. It also gives a helpline phone number should you have any problems with the machine itself. This great gadget can be used to remove algae and moss from patios, fences, pathways and driveways. You can also clean car, bikes, caravans even boats, just stand back and watch the dirt wash away with ease, eliminating the need for elbow grease. I for one am all for anything that ma kes light of tedious jobs especially around the garden. Its great for clearing out gutterings as well.Thats a definate one for My partner, not that He knows this yet,but He soon will!! The voltage of the machine is 230-240v. Well thats about it,not having £50 to spare unfortunately,it will have to be a loan from good ole Dad. I am itching to have a go and when I do,I will have the cleanest patio, guttering and fences in my road,by the time I have road tested it. Read the complete review |
