Karcher K2.29 Pressure Washer
by jj1977
Remember a time before pressure washers? No, neither do I, in fact I am completely mystified as to what I would do without mine. I know a car wash is easy enough but driveways, conservatory roof, windows!!! Anyway I have owned mine now for a little over three years and despite being considered an entry level unit, it handles everything I ... have thrown at it. You can pick them up now for around the £75 mark and in my experience, it will handle everything your typical suburban detached house can throw at it.
The distinctive yellow and black colour scheme hides a 1400 watt motor that provides a water flow rate of 360 litres per hour at a maximum pressure of 110 bar. It runs of your standard 240 volts main supply and plugs into any socket via a generous 5 metre cable. Attached to the other end of the unit is a metre high pressure hose, so theoretically you will have a 9 metre radius from electric point to target. The manual advises that this unit can comfortably handle a 12m squared patio.
Water temperature and vary up to 40 degrees, it also has water inlet filter ensuring that no dirt particles can damage the pump. The pump itself, N-cor, is quiet, lightweight and corrosion resistant, also possessing a safety valve to prevent pressure overload. It is lightweight, coming in at only 5kgs and as you can see in the picture it has wheels on its base, so anyone, no matter what age can use it in relative comfort.
It comes complete with a tool set, all of which clip onto the main unit, enabling the owner to have everything to hand in a space saving manner. The tools are a handgun, lance, hose, chamois leather, wash brush and a dirt blaster. It comes complete with a 6 month warranty that can be extended to 12 months. It also comes supplied with a 500ml universal cleaning pouch which when diluted will provide 5 litres of cleaning solution whcih can be applied through a detergent suction pump. On that note, it is not necessary to stick to any manufacturers recommended brand, any solution that you enjoy success with can be used.
It comes complete with an easy to follow manual to ensure that you are up and running in no time. One final note to consider, if you are in any doubt as to the effectiveness of Karcher products, you may like to know they have been used to clean Mt Rushmore, Christ the Redeemer in Rio and our very own Nelson's Column. If it's good enough for them... Read the complete review |

Karcher K2.29 Pressure Washer
by jlaker1992
We have always used the karcher brand of pressure washer, because nothing compares to the quality you get from them. We bought ours for £75, it may seem expensive, but the amount of things you can use them for really justifies the cost of buying one. This model comes with attachments which you use for different tasks. You can use this ... pressure washer for your car (which is my main use for it), your patio, clean outside walls and anything sturdy. They blast waterr out to a high pressure which you can really see.
If you still use a hose for your car, you are missing out on this. It cuts down the time you spend cleaning your car and also improves how clean your car actually is. It gets rid of the black marks really well and will get rid of all blemishes that are usually hard to scrub off and then wash off with a conventional hose/bucket of water :) my ford fiesta looks so clean and shiny after using this.
The pressure washer looks great. It's yellow like most other karchers are, it looks stylish. Other pressure washers look very tacky! That's why we have always used karchers, they look great and they work well. Unfortunately I managed to damage ours by knocking it over, I broke off a bit of the side! It still works, but Im not happy that I did it! Be careful with them because they can be fragile.
This is one of the cheaper models, other karchers have many more features, this one is just the basic one but it does the job! It's perfect for domestic use, especially because it can be used for cleaning a lot of parts of your land. Cleaning patios is great with this, it will make even the dirtiest areas look cleaner after a few minutes! It doesn't take long to do either.
The downsides of using these is that they use a lot of water, which can be costly. But you would use lots f water with a tap too so there isn't too much difference. The bad thing at the moment is that we won't be able to use these for a while due to the hosepipe ban which is about to come into force! Rather frustrating because we won't be able to have sparklingly clean cars for a while.
Overall I am very happy with this particular model, it's good value and will make you very happy to see how clean you can make your garden and car :)
Thanks for reading my review, hope it helped :) Read the complete review |

Karcher K 2.65M Deluxe
by bilbobaginz
There are many products which have come on the market in the gardening category in the last decade which to many peoples eyes can only be described as TOYS. I mean, you used to have to book a professional to come round to your house with such a device as a pressure washer, now they are readily available for purchase - and who wouldn't ... look at such a thing and think, spray someone! When it comes to pressure washers, 'Karcher' comes to mind for many, and for good reason. The 'K 2.65M Deluxe' is a fully functional weapon which will leave cars, walls, fences, drive-ways and paths in a state of shock as they are stripped of their grub, muck and dirt coating in a matter of seconds (per square meter of course).
The product is a range of tools and attachments which all work alongside the main body (which houses the motor and relevant power supply) to make cleaning outside a quicker, more effortless experience come rain or shine. The following are some of the attachments this product boasts:
- Soft brush - for scrubbing more delicate outside surfaces, like scratch prone stone.
- 'Universal' cleaning sponge - used to clean vehicles and other things requiring a sponge.
- Rotating wash brush with joint - this is for scrubbing dirt away from floors/walls which are more resilient.
- Wheel wash brush - for, yeah...
- Window and conservatory cleaning set - this comes complete with a variety of scrubbing and wiping tools.
There are more attachments which can be purchased separately - but the general trend amongst all these items is they each have a pipe inside which channels water from the motor pump out of the end where the brush/sponge/scrubber is. Buckets are now history, essentially.
The main housing of the motor and water pump apparatus works excellently with all the attachable items. However (despite its wheels) it can be quite awkward to move about, which is OK when doing cars and other 'small' items, but for a houses windows and wall lines it can be hard.
The motor within has a great responsive power surge to it. Your hands will jolt back when first switching the water on (which is of course done via the gun from which attachments are connected). The product has a maximum flow rate of 360 I/h though I'm guessing this level will deteriorate over time, though I haven't noticed any lessening in power.
A handle on the top of the main unit allows you to manoeuvre the thing about and the overall looks of the product seem to suit its use. Bright yellow plastic components all stuck together with water-tight seals . There are rubber tires and a holster for the main gun unit from which attachments are attached.
All in all this product does what it should and I have had no reliability issues with it what so ever. I can't complain and would soon go and buy another or have this one repaired if anything did go wrong. Read the complete review |
