Advantages: Cleans nearly everything in site.

Disadvantages: doesnt clean the kids.

Never having seen a pressure washer in action, today I witnessed one and was absolutely amazed with it.
I watched in awe as My Dad was using this item to clean His patio, which was covered in green slimey stuff.
With each left to right swaying motion,I watched the power of the spray remove every bit of dirt and that horrible green stuff.
He used it to clear debris that had acumulated around the plant pots and each gap between the paving stones.Everywhere was spotless when He had finished,I was totally impressed.

Excitement over, let Me tell you about this item.

It is called a pressure washer, made by performance for B&Q,and the price is £49.99.
Its essentially a power electric motor driving a set of pistons, that force water through a small nozzle, creating a pressurised jet of water.

The pressure washer is enviromentally friendly, which reduces water consumption.
This is ideal if you are one of those unfortunate ones, who has a water meter fitted.

You can either use plain water or add a detergent depending on what you need to wash.

You will need a hose pipe,of minimum length 7.5m,this fits onto the washer drum.
Fit the spray gun hose to the machine, select the setting you require. There are two settings to choose from, one is high pressure for a more concentrated jet,the other being low, this gives a wider spray at a lower pressure.

I have to point out that it does have a rather noisy motor, about the only bad thing I could find about it though.

It does come with good clear instructions in the form of a leaflet. It also gives a helpline phone number should you have any problems with the machine itself.

This great gadget can be used to remove algae and moss from patios, fences, pathways and driveways.
You can also clean car, bikes, caravans even boats, just stand back and watch the dirt wash away with ease, eliminating the need for elbow grease.
I for one am all for anything that ma
kes light of tedious jobs especially around the garden.

Its great for clearing out gutterings as well.Thats a definate one for My partner, not that He knows this yet,but He soon will!!

The voltage of the machine is 230-240v.

Well thats about it,not having £50 to spare unfortunately,it will have to be a loan from good ole Dad.

I am itching to have a go and when I do,I will have the cleanest patio, guttering and fences in my road,by the time I have road tested it.

I agree on the usefulness, and the price is right- just one quibble: you mentioned that it's great for cleaning muddy bikes- it is, but if you stray anywhere near the bearings, [bottom bracket & wheel hubs], you MUST strip them down and repack with fresh grease, or rust and failure will soon follow. The pressure generated blasts through the manufacturers seals on these items, washing out the grease.
